Quail Brook Golf Course
About
Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

Country club like
The great condition of the course, the mindset of the staff and the generally wonderful people who play their gives this course the feel of a country club. Even on the Juneteenth holiday my foursome finished the round in four hours. You can’t beat it.
Quailbrook
Nice course. Friendly staff. Greens need to be rolled to eliminate aeration lines
Well maintained
Quail Brook was in excellent condition with fine fairways and consistent rough. It is always a pleasure to play there.
All good except pace of play
Had a 3 some
. Caught a 4 some on 5. Did play the front in 2.10. Back was brutal just over 2.30. And one of our group bailed after 15.
Saw the group ahead , 2 men 2 women , occasionally hit a second ball. Witnessed long walks to the cart- Here’s a thought - maybe drive over . You have a cart !! Never ever looked back. Most inconsiderate group I have ever been behind
Course is in good shape. Back 9 has quite a different feel from the front. Some interesting holes
Top maintenance
Quail Brook is maintained to the highest standards. Beautiful fairways and consistent rough with sand traps always in good condition. Could not ask for more.
GOLF NOW DID NOT SHOW AERIFICATION ALERT 4/24
This has nothing to do with Quail Brook, I am very upset with GOLF NOW. As an avid golfer we all know how important aerification is, but most avid golfers, prefer to wait 2 weeks until the greens heal especially when big holes are used. Also when you love a course for fast greens
and then realize they have been aerated with lots of sand still there, the greens run very slow.. Quail Brook said they informed Golf Now at the end of March. When they were doing aerification. But Golf Now still has not put up aerification alert
