A well-maintained 9 Hole course
A walkable course that has some challenges. A great course for beginners, also very well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Nice course
Fairway Valley is a nice nine hole track that is well cared for. While not very challenging, it does have a couple water holes/hazards. I would recomnend a round at Fairway.
Pleasant experience
This is a 9 hole course that is relatively open and terrific for some practice or for someone learning the game. The staff was friendly and the pace of play was very good. Playing alone I finished 18 holes in about 3 hours. It was enjoyable.
Very nice 9 hole course
Good views, good layout, good conditions, good pace, friendly people equals great experience. Not overly challenging but the hole are interesting and although not tight you need to keep it straight to score well. 7th hole is a real challenge as well as the 5th hole. If you want a relaxing round this is the place.
Only drawback is it is a 9 hole course but still enjoyed playing here.
Course is well maintained and flat. Water comes into play on a few holes. It is not a long course but tree placement provides some challenges. Greens are on the small side but are in good shape.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Pace of play is fine and no problem going off the first tee after finishing the 9th.
Only problem seems to be with the gas carts. The cart for the twosome in front of us stopped working and had to be pushed back to clubhouse. Then, the single behind us also broke down. But, our cart had no issues so this may have been just bad luck for them.
Good Walkable Muni
Good walkable muni, took my brother / novice golfer here on Sun later PM and we played in right around 4 hours. Staff extremely friendly, complimentary watermelon slices in clubhouse on hot summer day! I highly recommend for weekend warrior and novice golfers, or for low handicappers, something for everyone. only 9 holes but fun to play twice. If I lived here I would play regularly at Fairway Valley.
value
nine holer played twice - great place for a quick round - in a good conditioned course - no 19th hole however you may bring in your after round refreshment -
Neighborhood course
Fairway is fun for the whole family. You need to work the ball here on a couple of holes. Greens are smallish with enough contour to keep it interesting. It does what it is perfectly.
Not Very Friendly
It started to pour before we started and everyone on the course came in. After 1/2 hr, we asked the older woman who was working there about a rain check and she REFUSED to issue us one, saying we had to take it up with GolfNow who we booked thru.
C'mon....it doesn't cost them anything to issue a rain check at a course like this. It's not like it's packed.
Lush course
The course could not have been in better shape; lush fairways and manicured greens. We rode but definately a walker's course. Great time!
hidden gem in west nj
First time played but it was easy to find next tee box . Very well looking fairway. Green condition was excellent . Definitely will come back.
Value and Quality
Played this course twice already and always end my round totally satisfied. Fairways and greens are well maintained. Staff is friendly. Good value.
This course is very good.
I could have rated this course excellent if only it is an 18hole course. Its too bad it is only 9hole. This course is very forgiving but has enough challenges that it is perfect for leisure players like me.
Value meets quality
Enjoyable round, the green on #2 was a bit "iffy" but some interesting holes that makes you use every club. Sand traps actually had sand compared to the nearby competition. The guys working the pro shop were old school friendly guys who really fun and engaging. Good for a single playing a practice round or for a foursome
JGH
Course was in very good shape despite some very heavy rain a few days prior. I had not played this course in about 15 years and was pleasantly surprised at the way they have maintained it. Especially the change at the little par three hole #4.. It was A great value for the hot deal I got on golf now. Had a beginning golfer with me and she was able to navigate the course very well.
Not a good weekend choice
If you want to play in league than this place is for you. They have leagues every day but monday and friday. Impossible to play 18 holes even if you get here very early on weekends. that leaves you with playing later when the leagues leave only to face the mid day rush. In addition, be ready for unattended greens being waterd by sprinklers as you watch your ball being washed while you put your rain suit on to make your put. that occurred on 4 out of 9 holes, not joking. they got mad when i asked them to turn them off?? Really??
