Favorite Course in the Area
I discovered this hidden gem about 2 years ago. Its only a 9-hole course but I don't mind just repeating for a back 9.
Course is well maintained versus other public courses in the area. Pace can be slowed a little because there tends to be more walkers due to the 9 holes. Overall the for the value, friendliness of the staff and the course conditions, I prefer Fairview Valley over any in the area.
Fun Course
Friendly staff keeps the course in top condition. Greens were in great shape. Not long but interesting,
played 18 with my wife in 3 hrs with early starting time. Well worth the Golf Now Hot Deals!
Relax and Enjoy
No stress here. Staff is friendly and the course in good shape. It is a very relaxed atmosphere. No real difficult holes accept for #7, where you need a long tee shot to be able to go for the green in two, which is fronted by a pond that is about 50 yds before the green. My favorite hole is #8, 150yd par 3, all carry over a pond and between the trees. A great place for beginners.
This is wonderful course to get out, have a good time and not stress
No stress, 18 holes in under 3 and 1/2 hours, with my 14 year son. A great day. Course not overly hard but able to provide some opportunities to hit long, draw and fade,, chip to elevated greens, hit over water, and read sloped greens. Only 9 holes but playing the 9 the second time gave an opportunity to play the course better the second time.
Walkable or Ride, great course
Fairways in great shape; bunkers soft but a little heavy. Greens tricky. A fun course.
Fun day on the course!
The course was in great condition, even after a heavy rain the day before. Beautiful fall colors on the trees. Played with my husband on a Thursday afternoon and it was moderately busy. Played nine holes twice.
Great value
Played this course on a Sat. with my 19 & 13 yr old boys. We had a great time. Weather was great and course was still wide open. Its a 9 hole that we played twice. Very open and forgiving course. Maintained extremley well.
Great Place to have fun and teach a new golfer
It was a great day! As a father there is something special being able to play golf with your son! At 15 years old hes still learning and this worked out perfect.
the course is still playable and enjoyable for all and have a great day of golf. you can play white tees first time around and blue tees second nine holes! greens were great and course has challenges for all abilities.
Get your Son , daughter, Wife, or anyone and enjoy 9 or 18 at this local course! Thank You
Great course
At first I was not happy with this course because I didn't realize it was 9 holes played twice. However, after the round I was extremely satisfied. Pace of play was not an issue at all, played a little over 4 hours, not bad considering we were a twosome but course was mostly foursomes. After 9 we went to pro shop, got drinks and they gave us fresh strawberries and watermelon. It was delicious. Only fault course was a little short and fairway/rough was a little hard to tell the difference between. But I wil be back.
great 9 hole course
Very nice course fairways nice greens good will play again
Gret Golf
I little far for us but worth it. Excellently maintained course!
A Little Gem
This is where I taught myself the game as a kid and had not been back in 50 years. I was pleasantly surprised that this place has been re-invented and is so much better than in my younger days when the course was only a few years old. The owners and staff have done an outstanding job in the maintenance here and have turned what could easily be a hum drum little course into a really fine track. I'm a fan of old school, small greens that reward the proper shot. You'll find those here. Wish I lived closer but will certainly return and bring a group.
Local Gem
The course at Fairway Valley is very well maintained, with great greens that roll true. This is a great course that is easy enough for beginners, but with some challenges for good players. The pace was good, not having to wait on any tee. The course personnel were very friendly and helpful. I took my wife (beginner) and we had a blast.
Excellent
Course was in great shape, very impressed. Would gladly play here again and again
This is a friendly community course
Very nice staff. Quiet location with abundance of scenic holes and wildlife.
Ok course...buy some colored flags!
Decent course usually in fair condition for a small 9 hole facility. Fairways and rough not too bad greens are relatively small. Pace can be slow depending on who you get stuck behind. Don't really run any sale prices anymore so you can usually pay same price at course or get on a better course for about the same amount of money. The only course I know that uses the same red color flag regardless of pin position can be very annoying. Spend a couple bucks and buy white and blue flags so players can figure out the pin position.
Great Value and very good course
The course was in remarkable condition. Tee to green the condition was as great. Check in went very smooth and pace of play was spot on, we finished in 4 hours even though the course was busy. The course is pretty open, but position play is a must. The difficulty was only moderate but some of the holes are visually intimidating. If you focus on the shot and ignore the hazards, you will play well.
Worth the money!
This 9-hole golf course won't really challenge a seasoned golfer, but it's fun nonetheless. Everything is in great condition and the people are friendly. For the Golfnow price, you can't beat it!
