Nice course
Good course. Well kept tee boxes, fairways, and greens. Doesn't drain real well, but still playable. Will be back again.
Nice course, great value
Nice course but very wet from an inch of rain the previous evening. Nice layout, some interesting holes.
Course in very good shape.
Beautiful day, excellent green fee price and course in very good shape, nice fast greens.
good course for the price
The holes are interesting. Small greens, fast, and smooth. Fairway landing areas are forgiving. For the price, the course is a very good value.
Good Value
The cool, windy weather had more to do with my score than the condition of the course, which was in good shape. The greens had recently been aireated, but still fine for putting. Fun course with a variety of holes.
worth the drive
The course is challenging and the conditions were excellent. A haven for golfers but, unfortunately also for mosquitos. I killed 5 with one slap of my hand. Be sure and apply OFF before teeing off. I played with a partner and we were paired with a very nice local couple and we had excellent weather. A great day. I will go back and you should try the course.
Just right for me
For a guy getting close to 60, the par 4' were fair. 420+ par 4's are too long for us guys. Course is wooded but fairways are side enough. Played at 10 and greens had not been mowed. Course have some wetter spots making fairways boggy. Good value on a lovely Mn fall day.
5sum of ladies great to see but a little tough on pace of play and the ladies did ask if u wanted to play thru
Coarse very playable with nice mix of holes greens rolled very true and had very subtle breaks making all putts tough no gimmes here
A beautiful cousre
I was impressed ! The greens were receptive , the fairways were in great shape despite the recent rain , lush grass which was ideal to play on . Will definitely play there again and will look into becoming a member .

Played in 3 hours
It was only 45-50 F so we were the only group on the course. We finished 27 holes in 4 hours. The course was a bit soggy from the rain we got overnight, and Purple Hawk does not drain well, there was water in over half of the cups and pooled in some areas of the greens; however, the pin placements seemed to take that into account as we never had to putt over water (Hit it where you're supposed to). For a less than avid golfer the conditions may have been prohibited enjoyment. We only payed $13 with a cart, so I am willing to take some of the bad with the outrageously good deal.
A bit out of the way.
Coure was soggy due to recent rain so it played a little long. The course was in great shape otherwise.
Great condition
The Purple Hawk is a bit of a drive from the metro, but the course is mature and well maintained.
Very nice course. Fun to play and a great value.
Very enjoyable course. Challenging, but not over the top. A nice mix of everything. Some water, sand traps , trees and open areas. Greens are in very nice shape and somewhat fast. Course is well laid out and fun to play. All this at a fair price. Had a good day at Purple Hawk!
Liked the course
Staffs were friendly and the course was good. Commute to the course was easy coming straight on central from Blaine. I'd definitely play there again.
Good Course, But Fast Greens
For the most part this was a good course. However, it took two or three holes to get used to the overly fast greens. It seemed that the fairways were water logged, yet the greens were very dry. Otherwise, it was a pleasant day of golf!
enjoy
fun course to play
in good shape
nice friendly staff
will be back
Course
Course was fair, no to tight but hit it off fairway and you may have to navigate some trees.. Not a lot of water but plenty of trouble if you find the bunker.. Nice course all in all
Best I've played north of cities
The course was immaculate. The price is worth it. If you luck out and score a deal, it's the best day ever. Cheap drinks too!
