Poor management, as usual
Every time I come here it’s something else. As usual, pace of play was horrendous. The group in front of us had THREE holes open in front of them for most of the round. The ranger drove by and they had a great conversation about the weather, literally. It’s just incredible how poorly run this place is.

Miserable pro shop
I’ve never felt so unwelcome at a golf course than this. Pro shop staff rude and argumentative. Not even a single new ball to buy and the rental set was incomplete and made up of clubs they found on the course. The course itself is interesting and reasonably maintained but need sand on the carts to fill fairway divots. I’ve played two courses own by Essex county and I’ll never play this one again.

It’s a good layout, take a golf cart as it is a very hilly golf course.
