Located in the Southtowns of WNY between Holland and Colden, Holland Hills Country Club is less than a half hour from Buffalo. The golf course sits atop the highest point in Erie County. From its lofty perch, the elevated tees offer views that stretch across acres of rolling countryside. The championship layout features a variety of challenges including tree-lined fairways, water hazards, and strategically placed sand traps. There are also a few sharp doglegs to watch out for. It's the many elevation changes though, which can range from subtle to dramatic, that are the true test of this golf course. Be prepared for several tricky uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. From the tips, Holland Hills Country Club is quite formidable but multiple sets of tees make it more player friendly for all skill levels.

Unhappy
Told to tee off on 10 due to an 8:30am shotgun. Made the turn dead on the tee off. Had we been able to tee off on one we would have been out of the way.
Paid to play 18 but no knowledge of shotgun. Nice course, poor communication.

early morning choice to play this course not a bad one start off with the long par 4 prepare for a bogey.course in good shape early morning no delay lots of other choices around very nice scenery down there. 3 stars

Course was in great shape! Would recommend it to my friends!
Many holes have blind shots to the green. Go up and take a look
Cart path is in need of a lot of repair.
Played solo and was making great time until the 10th hole when all of a sudden there are a bunch of guys in front of me who evidently came early to warm up for that night's Senior League and decided to do so on the back side
Nice Out of The WAy Course
I think the course would benefit from a tree box make over. Too many uneven shots off of the tee. Some boxes need to be enlarged as well so that there is enough room to have a choice of where to hit from. Other than that the course was in very good shape

Greens were a little rough, fairways were good. Cart Paths really need to be repaved. They are very bumpy.

Nice course. Much further than 20 minutes from buffalo. Foursome in front of us brutally slow. No ranger to speed up play. 51/2 hours. I will try to play again however

This course is in good shape and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The greens are a bit fast and the fairways are wide and forgiving.
Watch out for hidden charges.
This course will charge you an additional $8. cart fee for each golfer in your reservation. They have a tiny icon on some of there tee times for walking only. It's very difficult to see when you book on line. I've been using GOLFNOW for years and have never experienced anything like it. They had a golf outing going on and never told us at check in and it took us 5 & 1/2 hours to complete our round. I would not play this course again.
Just challenging enough for the weekend golfer
Friendly staff and course has some holes that make you think before you swing away. Surrounded by farmland, there is room for error on some holes. Rolling terrain is the teeth of this course. Would like to see some more greenside bunkers to make this course tougher.
Great Place for a round of golf and a beverage.
I found this course to have a great mix of challenging holes and scoring holes. It may have the toughest opening hole in WNY with a uphill 466 yard par 4, while the Par 4 7th only measures 270 yards. Other notable holes include a par 3 island green and a sharp dogleg par 5. The greens are well kept and quick but not too quick. The great thing about this course is it can be challenging for all skill levels. Our group consisted of 6, 11, 18, and a 27 handicaps and we all enjoyed the course. Besides the course, the restaurant and bar area were very nice. They have a great menu and $2.25 beers on the course and in the bar.

Holland Hills has always been one of my favorite courses. It is well maintained and always provides a challenge for golfers of all skill levels. The restaurant has great food and a wide selection of beer for excellent prices after your round is done. The staff is very friendly and is always willing to help. Love the par 3 island hole. I would definitely recommend this course to all WNY golfers. It will keep you coming back for more.
A course that could be much better. Staff is unfriendly
Funniest aspect to this place is when they tell you "cart paths only". Well the fairways are horrible anyway and you risk injury on the cart paths. Undriveable, period! Has a small share of good golf holes. Excellent par 5s but too many vanilla up and downhill holes. Island par 3 is cute. Conditions may be the worse of WNY courses. Greens are always terrible and fairways ugh! With cart should be $25ish and lower.
If you are an avid golfer, one trip every 4 years is good enough.

I'm not sure where the hidden charges are from this golf course. I've played there many times and have never experienced anything like this. All of the charges are clearly explained when you book the tee time on GolfNow. I've been using GolfNow for awhile now and it isn't that hard to pay attention to the icons. This course offered a free beer the other day with a round of golf and guess how I found out about that? I looked at the icons. It is absolutely absurd to give this course 1 star because of your negligence. For someone who claims to have been using GolfNow for years, you clearly don't understand how to use all of the great features on the site.
For everyone else reading this bad review, this is not a proper representation of the course. Like I've said, I have played this course for years and can assure you it is a great course and that you will have a great time. Do not let one man's negligence be a factor in your decision to play here.
