Beekman Country Club - Highland/Valley
About
Beekman Country Club has a stunning location nestled in the foothills of the Berkshires, just as they are rising from the Hudson Valley. The 27-hole hole golf course is divided into three nines that are combined to create three scenic and challenging 18-hole courses. The Highland/Valley combination begins at the clubhouse and gradually climbs over 500 feet. The front nine offers panoramic views stretching from the valley to Stormville Mountain. The Highland nine features the signature hole, the par-3 fourth, of the entire course. It is most beautiful in the springtime when the dogwood trees lining the fairways are in bloom. Although the elevation changes are not as dramatic, the Valley nine is not to be forgotten with one of the country's largest oak trees guarding the sixth hole.

Great day at Beekman
First time at Beekman for all four in our group. Played the Highlands and Valley. Course is in great shape...very friendly staff...great pace of play....excellent lunch in restaurant. No negatives. Highly recommend
Great course, great value
Had a morning tee time on 10/17/20. It's a really nice course! We played Valley and Taconic. Valley 9 was challenging, a lot of hill shots - I preferred the Taconic 9.
Staff unfriendlisness
2nd and last time. During Covid all courses should offer you the opportunity to drive solo. Their plastic divider is not the answer. They are the only course that I've played that won't allow you to drive solo. Very unfriendly people that work at the starters jailhouse. If they could just be nice and welcoming. If you're not from the area, you're treated like an unwelcomed guest.
View of some holes were breathtaking.
Many golfers were gathering and playing in one hole. It was 5 hours playing time. Mostly senior golfers were playing at this golf course for this reason it was so slow. Anyhow I saw some holes were a great view on top of Mountain side. Specially this Fall season it was much more beautiful scenic around hole.
Length of back of tee was not too long but it was challenging and needs managing how you hit the ball.
I drove 1h and half from city. It was also enjoyable driving mountain narrow Tanconic Pkwy. Relax and enjoy view of mountain.
Great course
great course, even better price! Would love for the leaves to be cleaned up a little better as we lost a couple of balls on the fairway due to leaves but other than that it was great, will be back to play more rounds
Great hidden gem
first time me and my buddy played this course and absolutely loved it. Fair, fun and challenging at the same time. 100% will be back great hidden gem i found. Played 18 and loved it so much played all 27. All 3 nines great.
Beekman Rookie
Course was in great shape. Check in was very "unfriendly". Asked for an individual cart and was told "no". That's ridiculous during these times. Need to be more accommodating. Everything else was great. You find that the starters at most of these courses seem to have a chip on their shoulder. Just be nice and let people enjoy their round of golf.
Good Day Golfing
Great course for the money. Friendly staff, well maintained. Not too challenging but still fun and different.
Solid course with nice views
I liked the course because you use the driver often and the greens were in good shape. The sand traps are not always so great. Overall the condition of the course along with the views make this a good deal under $50
Sunset Golf
Beekman is always a favorite place of mine to play. If you go late in the afternoons you can always catch a beautiful sunset regardless of which of the three 9s you are playing.
We have played this golf course regularly over the years without complaint. Today we decided to check out this years menu at the restaurant. It did not disappoint. Many places have very limited menus because of the Covid. Their menu was a full one and not only tasty, but generous. To top it off, the service was top shelf with our server Allie doing a wonderful job of making sure all our needs were met. Check it out, you can't go wrong.
