Course was like other courses in the metro area that had poana grass killed during the winter. Fairways were sparse of grass.
nice course
this course was in pretty good shape but the sand traps had more dirt that sand in them, otherwise was in good shape.
senior couples golf
went on a sunday mid-day and not super busy paul was a friendly and helpful ranger
it had rained so it was still a bit wet
had a good time, though
Not the toughest but good for an afternoon
I finally played the Crossroads course, as I have always played the Signature course. I like Signature more but I haven’t always been a huge fan of Majestic Oaks. It’s nice for weddings and receptions but I just haven’t fallen in love with the courses. The courses seem sprawled out to me, and it’s almost as if you are in a neighborhood with a golf course inside of it. Houses every inch of the course. Crossroads was fun, 6396 for the atypical gold tees. I prefer longer courses but 6300 is on par with similar caliber courses in the area. Some dog leg holes, a little bit of water you have to avoid, and some well placed fairway bunkers. Greens were better than they have been in the past, pretty dented from the lack of people fixing marks. They were fairly true as well, which I was a tad surprised by. This course is worth playing if you have an afternoon to burn and have to stay local. I personally would not choose this course as one to play if I had an afternoon to burn, but it is worth the consideration of others. The clubhouse is nice, they just renovated it and it’s very well done. The restaurant is and always will be my favorite part. I really enjoy their food, their appetizers are great and the food is overall very good. The range is fine. Nothing special, pay for balls and at least we were on grass. Decent course with plenty of trees and things to avoid. I’ll be back at some point, just not sure when as I will side with others.
Trees are us
Nice shape slower pace but still under six hours for a round played the crossroads stay in the fairway or take extra strokes.
Tucked away in the north metro
Majestic oaks Crossroads is a fun, tight, quiet retreat in Ham Lake. Greens were good, fairways were average, the cart gal was sweet, but I don't understand why the snack shelter was unused on a busy Sunday. I think they're missing the boat as there is no returning to the club house between nines. Pace was ok for a Sunday, we played in four hours and 20 minutes. I enjoy this course and I would have paid for a hot dog, brat or burger at the turn if food was available.
Tried to charge me more than what was on my booking receipt
Plain Jane Course
The Crossroads Course at Majestic Oaks is the plain Jane sister to the more popular Signature Course. The course is not very long, 5,879 yards from the middle tees, and not very difficult, with a 68.9 rating and 118 slope from the middle tees. Nevertheless, the course does provide an interesting golf round, with both long and short holes, a few doglegs, and several forced carries on tee shots and approach shots. The terrain is fairly flat, with no elevation changes to speak of. Fairways are generously wide, but OB does lurk on one side or the other on most holes, as the course winds through a large townhouse development. We played very late in the season, mid-November, but the course was still in great condition, The greens were a little slow but rolled very true. Proper placement of tee shots is imperative on many of the holes. The dogleg left 463 yard par 5 third hole is an example. Unless they can rely on a draw, long hitters run a risk of hitting their drive through the fairway. A fairway wood or hybrid may be a better choice off the tee. Similarly, the 285 yard par 4 fourth hole requires that the tee shot favor the right side of the fairway in order to have a clear approach to the green. The par 5 12th is almost a double dogleg, requiring some thought to the second shot depending on where your drive ends up. The Crossroads is a good choice for walkers, seniors, and others who may not be ready for the challenge of the more difficult (and more expensive!) Signature Course at Majestic Oaks.
Over valued.
Just not worth the price they Are asking. Especially with tools like this site, it is too easy to find a nicer course or a better price, depending on what you want to play. Nothing exciting about the layout so conditions need to be much better for this price.
Best value in the Twin Cities
The crossroads is a fun course, many shots need to stay in the middle. Staff is great, greens are very good. Lot of variation between holes. Quite well maintained. Some flowers/plantings would spiff things up from a visual perspective
decent condition for this time of year
The greens are in excellent shape although a bit on the slow side. The fairways are not great but playable.
Majestic Oaks Crossroads course
Nice course, a little more forgiving the the other course(Signature) but still fun to play.
Very scenic course, also if you play smart golf on the doglegs it gives you a better chance.
Greens were in excellent shape for this time of the year in Minnesota.
Tee boxes were in good shape, as well as the fairways.
The crossroads didn't seem to have as many trees as the Signature but it has its own identity.
Course condition
Course was in excellent condition.
Minn Fall Golf
Good course conditions, beautiful sunny day in high 50's and a good pace of pay. Beats sitting watching football on TV
TOO HIGH PRICED
First time here this year. Glad I haven`t made it a regular stop as in the past. $42.00 walking on a $25.00-$30.00 course WITH a cart. Nothing has really changed since last year except price. Same nice clubhouse, same mediocre F&B on course. MANY better courses within an 1/2 hour drive for same price (some lower through GolfNow). Have played 4 star (Golf Digest) courses for less WITH cart. I`ve played my last round here.
Don't Be Fooled by Positive Reviews.
I was reading the reviews for this course and was surprised by the amount of positive reviews. I do not hate the golf course itself, I find it pretty enjoyable. I hate the price and slow play. I cannot believe that most people believe this course has a good pace of play and a good value. I used to come here quite often until the price hikes, and it has always been slow despite the staffs efforts to fix the problem. Not worth 50 by any means either, you can hop on many nicer courses in the area for about same price or less. E.G. The Refuge, Bunker Hills, Victory Links.
Majestic Oaks Crossroads
I liked this course. It would be very easy to walk, but I got a great deal with a cart. The staff is very friendly. The Signature Course is a bit better course, but I liked the layout of Crossroads too. It would be great to play both in one day, and also it has an 9 hole executive course. Golf ALL DAY!
The course was in good shape for fall golf in Minnesota
The fairways were well maintained. The greens were in good condition but the grass on the greens was too long and needed to be cut and rolled to make them roll more consistent with similar courses. The staff were friendly.
Good golf value for the price. I would play here again.
I play Bunker, Refuge, Victory Links... yes nice courses but definitely more expensive. He said walking $42, no way on the Crossroads
