a nice course with a good layout. conditions were good for the time of the year with picturesque holes (the fall colors were awesome) and ample hazards, rolling hills, and doglegs. the course could use a little more acreage as some of the green to next tee box distances were a little tight.
Always A good time
We go to Fox Run to 2-4 times a season and have always had a good time. Friendly Staff and the course is in great shape.. Fast Greens this time of time but you'll have a good time playing there.
one of the best in fulton county
Had a good time, fast greens, sometimes a little busy but it might seem that way because I like to take my time
We were told to play the back nine first. We got to the 13th hole and there were 8 carts with 2 men in each cart. They were all playing the same hole at the same time. There should be a ranger or at least someone to ride the course once in awhile to see how things are going. We played the front nine twice so we wouldn't get behind them again. We like to play this course a couple times a year, but I don't think we will anymore.
Fairway cuts are very nice. Tee boxes could be jazzed up alittle. Greens are nice although firm and fast. Little water wouldn't hurt. Could use drinking water on the course. It's a great course and fun to play. Exceptional value. Nice bar Very reasonable.
Worth The Drive!
Well, if you're looking to play a Resort Course, this isn't the place...... What you will find here is very welcoming staff, a cozy clubhouse in a rural setting (next to a small airport) and a fun well kept, diverse golf course !!! #1 starts out fairly benign, dogleg right, to a slightly elevated green. From there, the rest of the front is fairly open, with some tricky greens. #4 is a longer Par 4 to a bowl of a green, that demands being on, or making a miraculous save. On #5, the pin was tucked back right, and even putting right of the pin meant you'd be chipping your next! #9 (the adjacent dogleg left to #1's right), a short Par 4, begs for a draw around some large pines with water right if you don't quite pull it off. 10 is dead behind the green, 11 and 13 are drivable for the big guns, but especially on 13, death looms short as a pond fronts the green. There is a small approach from the left to an uphill sloped green. (Don't do it, play it safe Luke Skywalker!!!) There are some fun elevations, a couple narrow approaches, a few greens are like 'rollercoasters', but all are true and speedy. We had a fantastic day here, and if I lived close, this is a place that I'd love to be a member of. Thanks for having us!!!
Course is so great. It is best course for beginner.
Get ready for fun
The course is easier then most, but the greens make it challenging. Wide fairways and few hazards makes play faster than normal, but you still have to aim carefully at the greens to score well. Nice scenery and good course conditions make it an enjoyable round of golf.
Play here if you get a chance
Went here on a Sunday afternoon recently, but we play here on a fairly regular basis, so we knew what to expect right off the bat. The Staff is always friendly when we go here, which is one reason why we keep coming back. We even ran into the Course Pro at a local Restaurant, and he took the time to say hello and chat with us for a while. As for the course itself, it is well kept and in great shape everytime we go. The Fairways are in perfect shape, and the Greens, although fast, are a blast to play on. Each hole is clearly marked and each one brings a new adventure for players of all abilities. If you have never been here before, there are plenty of exciting challenges for you. Some holes have ponds to contend with, others have straight fairways but plenty of trouble to get into if your not carefull. There is a great mix of long holes, as well as short but challenging par 3's. If you like a challenge, yet a very playable course for the weekend golfer, try this place out, you will NOT be disappointed.
Fox Run...Nice Track
Good course with some challenges. Greens were in good shapes. Near a small airport which had some traffic and gave the course a special feature
Fox Run A#1
Our experience was "outstanding" Scottie, The Pro bent over backwards to accomodate our group. Got off even before our scheduled "Tee time" Found the course to be in "outstanding condition" Three golfers had never played the course and very extremely pleased. Good Day was enjoyed by all.
Greens lightning fast but true. Fun course to play. Head Pro very cordial. Senior tees fair.
A great value for the $. Sorry that it's an hour drive for me.
Greens are in great shape and challenging. Front 9 is long and open. Plenty of holes to attack on the back 9. Great course for all levels. Incredible value.
First time playing this course. The front 9 was pretty open and windy, while the back 9 was tighter and a little shorter. Would definitely go back
another great day at fox run. weather was really nice enjoyed the 19th hole just wish they had a steady bartender
Greens in great shape
Course was in great shape. We had a 1:00 tee time and two of us played 18 holes in 3 hours. Very nice pace of play.
greens and fairways r in great condition, best around this area
Fox Run Outing
The course was great shape even with the recent rains. Greens were great and rolled true the whole round. Would go and play again anytime
