The price is right. The conditions are not up to par at this time. Greens aerated and the fairways have a lot of bald areas. The fairways have very tight lies. Another few weeks might bring the course up to expectations

course had a lot of water spots in middle of fairway... WAY TO MANY GEESE....a lot of mud spots...do not play if there is a hint of wind in the air...

Nice layout and very playable when it's defense, the wind is low. Fairways, bunkers, and greens were not in good shape but, it was February so great conditions were not expected.

Very enjoyable. Lots of water but I didn't lose a ball. I parred the signature 16th hole.

There's No Electric Cart Allowed, 'cause Ground is too wet... we took Pull Cart, They did not put oil or Grease to Wheel-Noise !!! Tight strings for the Golf bag was Cut or Missing!-Miserable!!!!!!!!

There is a lot of water on this course! So be prepared to lose the odd ball or two! Overall we had a good time. Pace of play was good. My only problem was the lack of a course map. As first timers it was difficult at times to know where the pins were. There was no hole layout on the scorecards or at the tees and so it was a little confusing as the where the pins were. But overall a good experience.

I've been playing lido 2-3 times a year for about 35 years and can tell you it is one if Long Islands natural beauties. The greens and tees were in good condition. The fairways are in good condition as well as long as you hit the actual fairways. If your off by a bit the rough can be hardpan. For late November it was great. The geese do cause some pockets of yuk but you can play winter rules when you come upon it I suppose. Winds were challangings so knockdown shots are the way to go. Staff always cordial. Played a 3 1/2 hour round and the walk will do you good. Always recommend Lido to friends. Great natural beauty.

I've played this course many times the course is better than it used to be. The greens are in good shape, fairways need work but for the price it's worth playing. Management and personnel are friendly and helpful.

The course conditions were very nice and the links style layout is visually pleasing. Aside from that the course design is quirky and can be rather confusing. The par 5 16th is just stupid because the design is atrocious. There is no way to play it successfully unless you have a visual flyby with yardages marked. Overall, a very fun links course with great views and vibe.

Enjoyed playing Lido. Definitely worth the time if you can get a discounted tee-time. You can tell that they re-invest in keeping the course well maintained, as it was in great condition at the end of the season.

I have honestly never seen this course in better shape. Fairways and rough are coming in lush and green with a few exceptions but considering the hot summer we had its looking very promising. The greens are in great shape but very slow. I would give it 3 1/2 stars...4 if they sped up the greens.

This amazing layout, a wind blown links course, has always been a great challenge. Wind blown as it stands on the bayside of the barrier island. Water and wind affect play tremendously. The greens are very good.though a little slow Tees a spotty. Fairways are uneven and the rough is at best spotty and lacks uniformity. In the future I would hope to see continuing improvement of fairways and rough. Fairways could improve to the ball sit uniformly. A nice thick rough at a uniform height would be excellent and turn this course into a championship caliber layout

This course lends itself to natural aesthetic beauty by being located right on the water. However, PACE OF PLAY RUINS EVERYTHING THIS COURSE HAS TO OFFER. I showed up 40 minutes before a 1 pm tee off, did not get out until 1:15 and then continued to wait, wait, and wait. One would think that given sunset after 7 pm a 1 o'clock tee time would be able to comfortably get in 18 holes, but no. After over 5 hours of waiting around and only getting in 14 holes my friend and I had to leave. The course is extremely over booked. Unless you play very early in the morning a round at this course will almost certainly take up to 6 hours on the Weekends. The greens are the only thing going for this course. The fairways, half the bunkers, and all the surrounding grass is crab grass and half the time one finds them self hitting off of dirt rather than grass. The staff is very nice however, and if you are looking to just play a 6 hour round and drink some beers then this place is fairly priced but for pace of play golfers this course is definitely not up to par.

Teed off at 9:30 on a Saturday morning and finished in 6 hours, brutal pace of play. The great conditions of the greens help make up for the average conditions of tee boxes and fairways. The course design makes pace of play even worse since holes are on top of each other. Some holes have some nice views along the water. Bring bug spray.

If you enjoy golfing with some decent views, then go golf lido golf club!!! The course is great, pretty wide open , for the most part, and awesome views. Pace of play was good.

Greens and fairways in great shape

First you're received by a friendly manager. Given a course booklet explaining the ins and outs of play. Very helpful.
The first tee is a bit confusing,fairways close together so way wards shots assault your path.
After that it's clear sailing. Nice breezes,great views and pleasant people.
