Winding Hills Golf Club
About
Winding Hills Golf Club in Montgomery is a challenging course that will give you some practice with your irons and test your short game skills. This formidable short course is much tougher than it appears. The designer, Steve Esposito, modeled the layout after Jeff Cornish's Blue Rock Course in Cape Cod. The narrow, tree-lined fairways require accuracy. Strategically placed sand traps frame the small greens and several water hazards come into play as well. The holes vary in length and each is unique from one another. You may be surprised to find that you have to use all the clubs in your bag. The ninth hole is arguably Winding Hills Golf Club's toughest. This par 3 requires a long and demanding carry to a green that's sloped back to front.

Great
Would definitely go and play again . What a beautiful layout and a challenge
Great exec
Great course to play if you're looking for a quick 18, looking to work on Par 3's, or just beginning. Wish it had a little more length, but loved playing it.
Putter challenging!
I like Winding Hills very much...short and putter challenging. No flat tees. Pretty course, lots of trees.. Since I am a beginner I joined the ladies golf league and we play once a week, then I will go again for practice during the week. I've learned to chip on this course...rarely use a driver.
Greens !!!
always a challenge - greens are tough - stay below the hole

Great golf course!
Difficult putting, great for your short game.
Ranger very friendly.
Great Beginners Course
I enjoyed this course alot. I got a deal at golfnow.com for about 20 bucks per person.
The few par 4's were good practice.
Winding hills
The course is very short, some holes are less then 100 yards, difficult putting greens make if somewhat challengeing.
Sand Wedge Practice
If you're looking for a regular 18-hole play, you would regret so much for coming to this golf course. This course does not have any par-5 holes. It also has only two or three par-4 holes throughout the 18-hole play. The rest of the holes are all short par-3 holes. Gosh! I was so furious for reserving the tee time at this course not knowing these facts. Maybe it was my fault by not being extra careful, but those of you who thrives to drive the ball far and away, please be aware that this course is only good for Sand Wedge practices throughout the 18-hole play. As for the course itself, it is maintained fairly and the starter is friendly. However, the ranger is unfriendly and quite demending. At this point of my age and social standing, I would expected to be asked kindly in stead of being ordered by a ranger. Ouch... All in all, what a terrible experience I had on my precious Saturday afternoon.
nice course
Nice little course kept really nice and very pretty. About an hour from me so I wouldn't go often, but I would go back as the rate on golf now was very reasonable
Great Facilities
This course is great for ladies and players who enjoyes par 3 hole and putting. Every green is challanging and en
This is a fun course to play
Winding Hills lives up to its' name. You play golf thru the trees and hills and this is not just a little chip and putt course. I thoroughly enjoyed my round. Yes, most holes are short so it's a good short iron practice (which I need) and the greens are well maintained and have a lot of contouring.. they aren't flat as a pancake but are tricky (but fair except for the one where the pin was way in the back on a little shelf).
Great course
It's a very good course and it lets you tone up your short game. Makes using my irons easier.
Short 18 holes
Keep your driver at home. Took it out 3 times, but didn't need to. Greens are tough and challenging, and kept very nice! The course is beautiful! Lots of elevation changes. You can play all 18 in 3 hours or less.
very enjoyable executive course
very beautiful and enjoyable executive course.
Great place to practice short iron play.
A great way to sharpen your short game
We had a great time playing this course. It's not easy by any means, but it's got a unique layout and beautiful scenery. Make sure you bring some bug spray!
A challenging Executive course.
Our experience was great. The course was challenging, and rather surprising in it's difficulty.
The par 4 holes were extremely challenging. Some of the par 3's were pretty short ,but still tough enough. We will play there again and hope to try out the restaurant which we could not this time around.
Great course at a great price
I enjoy playing at Winding Hills immensely. It is mostly par 3s with a few par 4s, and it really tests your chipping and putting skills. The staff are very friendly, and they keep the course in top condition. With GolfNow you can play there very cheaply.
Great Staff
Course was a little wet from the rain the night before. The staff was great, very friendly. Even let us play an extra nine because it was a slow morning.
staff is unprofessional and rude
My group was on the 16th hole when an employee of the course told us we would not able to complete our round due to a league starting at 1700, it was 1630 at the time. The employee then instructed the players behind us the same info, then felt the need to yell across the fairway that if we had a problem to go see the owner, we will not play there again.
Great course!
Challenging, yet forgiving. Well maintained and always friendly staff on site. Love playing this course. Highly recommended!
