Easy access off highway
The golf course is not busy during the weekdays. A nine hole round takes about an hour. There is no problem if you would like to practice at this time and play a second ball as well. There are no lakes or rivers on the course.
Good for beginners, wedge/short irons
This is a good place to get lots of iron/wedge practice on the par 3s. There's an uphill par 4 with a blind tee shot, but it's straight on.
Not worth it if you aren't a resident with a leisure pass (It's like $25 for three years, get one if you are County resident). If you use Golfnow, you lose out on the resident rate.
Good Beginners Course
Went with a buddy. It was the first time on a golf course for either of us.
The course is perfect for a beginner. Not too easy. Actually, it reinforced the reality of how difficult a game golf is. Driving golf balls at a range is so different than hitting on the golf course. Its real when you try to conquer the 9 holes.
It was a totally fantastic experience.
County Course needs some TLC
Staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. Because we booked through GolfNow we were NOT entitled to our county residents discounts which would have saved us almost 50%. That will keep me from ever using Golf Now at a county course again. Lesson learned.
This was an easy, quick par 30 9 hole course that needs LOTS of work.
But if you're looking for a quick round, or getting a youngster started in the game, it's not a bad spot.
Not worth it if not Resident
Nice little 9 hole course that usually has no one on it. The course is not worth paying $40 though. If you're a Nassau resident go and get the Leisure pass and pay $17, then it's a good deal. If you're not then I would say skip it
