Golf course closed
2 hours driving arrived hornell golf course
But golf course closed from end of November.
Why golf now selling tee times to golf pass members?
Fun course
The last time I played here there was only 9 holes but I could see where the new holes were being developed and cut out. I really like the new holes and the variety. the 2 downhill par threes were beautiful and the views around the course are breathtaking. The tee boxes need some work but otherwise the course is a good play. This is not a "Country Club" so if that is what you're expecting look elsewhere.
A mixed bag of scenic but hilly golf.
This course was very scenic but also very hilly. With the dry weather my ball was consistently going one to two fairways over even on good shots. And half the time I couldn't even find my ball due to the hilly, hard ground. With a lot of work and tender loving care this could be a gorgeous course but its nearly unplayable right now in all facets, teeboxes, hard fairways, and aerated dirt covered greens. I enjoyed the weather, the quite peaceful course and the scenery, but the golf was frustrating and difficult because of the conditions. I need more of a landing space for my shots other than a dry, extremely sloped hill.
Great new layout but needs better upkeep
I remember playing this course as a kid when it was still a 9 hole course. I wasn't very keen on playing the course as a kid but had to check out the expansion and new layout.
Visiting the area, was excited to see what had been done since moving to 18 holes.
Its a very hilly course that presents many challenges where you often need to either club up or down depending if you are hitting uphill or downhill. Really like the newer par 5s #6 with the 2nd shot a straight shot downhill to a green and #14 with a challenging 2nd & 3rd shot uphill.
I really like what they did to the course and it fells as a proper course that is worth playing. The large drawback is the upkeep is not great but its difficult to do this in this geography without charging significantly more on greens fees where the population in the area can't afford increased greens fees. If this course was moved to a metro area (i.e. NYC, Chicago, Philadelphia, etc.), I could see this having better upkeep and many interested in playing.
Beautiful views. Very nice course
Very happy to have found this course through GolfNow. If I hadn’t have had the GolfNow app I would have never be able to play such a great course. Thank you!
Billy goat rough
It is built on a hill,. Which makes a lot of holes challenging. It also makes it hard for the course to hold water and the fairways are dirt dry. Much of the trouble shots under the teed areas are played off if stones and rocks.
Though the layout shows promise utilizing the terrain, some spots are just rough.
The play on and around the greens are very nice. But trying to hold these greens was about impossible. Course knowledge may have helped this experience, though I believe it will never come.
challenging and relaxing
Very nice setup, clubhouse is beautiful and staff. The 18 holes are all unique and challenging fun. I look forward to playing there often.
burned out due to weather-no rain
weather hot, dry,no irrigation, plus no rain, burned up fairways/presume good when course has rain.too hilly for walkers..
