Palms at Palm-Aire Country Club
The Palms Golf Course is a tract that locals and visitors alike just love to play. Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1962, the Palms was completely renovated by Karl Litton and Lorie Viola in 1996.
The accommodating fairways make it easier to hit your tee shots in play. Once on the 'dance floor', the Bermuda greens roll true and quick.
The Palms Course has a number of picturesque water hazards. As its name would indicate, the Palms features lovely native Palm trees throughout the course.
It is most definitely a true Florida golf course and one, which everybody should put on their 'must play' list .

Course layout and conditions were very nice. Check in policy is different. We could not check in until the group in front of us was checked in, and when they were late, starter was not happy with them or anyone behind them. snack bar was not open when we got there at 9:30.
Breezy day on the links
The last day of a 10 day Florida trip we chose Palm Aire Palms course because of the courses we had been playing it had the best fairway and green conditions. The wind added an element of excitement and panic inducing wayward shots as some holes tight quarters between buildings and fairway.
New Year’s Eve round with the guys
Hello Golf Now golfing community. This course layout is very favorable to all types of golfers. We have had a lot of rain so the greens were very receptive. You could shoot at the pins. Fairways were a little hairy, the rough was really short, the tee boxes need attention. The boxes were how can I say it less than desirable. They were hairy ,1 1/2“ tall so the grass was up to the bottom of the ball on the tee. Most of the boxes were were crowned in the middle or concave in the middle That along with the length of the grass on them, made your tee shot a lot to think about. . Overall loved the course started at 2pm finished at dark 5:45 pm. Would defiantly play here again the afternoon price was well worth it. 25.00 for winter time in South Florida for a course in this condition is worth the money.
Course is slow. I played this course in the past and it was extremely slow, I thought because it was season. Then I thought let me try again and see if it was a one time thing. In case it was slow, I thought I will book a very early t time and it shouldn’t be.....not the case. Once again it was slow when I looked at the first t after paying I saw 3 groups on the first t backed up. Ridiculous!
Another one bites the dust
This course was fun to play about 6 years ago. Since then it’s been in steady decline. As others have said, the tees and fairways are sand or overtaken with weeds or St Augustine grass. The greens are very slow and not in good health. They have decided for some reason to use 6 inch holes for the summer. You think this would be fun, but honestly it made me concentrate less on the putt, which I had to hit to hard to get to the gigantic hole and I averaged the same amount of putts. It’s gimmicky, but cheapened the game and I won’t be returning. Only played this course because The Oaks (another fallen course into the abyss that is dying broward county layouts) was just punched and The Cypress (a falling hero) had league.
Do not Play the Palms at Palm Aire
The greens were a little slow but well maintained. The rest of the course was a cow pasture. It is too bad as this was a good layout. Even the tee boxes were in bad shape. The Oaks was in somewhat better condition, so i would play that course instead.
The greens were in good condition, fairways were in ‘rugged’ condition, but they were playable.
Interesting Layout Through the Complex
First time playing here. Holes run within a condo/apartment style complex. Large buildings and echoes were kind of strange.
Course is deceivingly difficult with tight landing areas and well placed hazards.
Greens and fairways in good shape with a few repairs needed here and there. Many divots around. Traps were freshly groomed albeit a little wet. Tee boxes were pretty rough but had been sanded. Pace of play was 4 hours for our foursome. Good to see the drink cart twice.
Overall above average.
Fairways need work
Greens were in great shape, fairways weren't bad but if they don't get on top of them now they will need lot's of work in off season.
Foursome in front of us were pretty slow, but not courses fault. Ranger never came by. But for some reason followed them all the way up the hole, must have been regulars that they knew played slow. Will go back in off season when price drops
