2nd: Par-4, 393. First of three holes on the difficult “Cat’s Claw.” The green can’t be seen from the fairway’s landing zone. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/08/2021
-
3rd, par-4: Another tricky Tillinghast hole. The Cape design features this marshy hazard curving all the way from tee to green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/08/2021
-
5th, par-5. The driving zone is relatively open, but your second may cross the stream and must be precise. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/08/2021
-
16, par-5, 498. Terrific hole that encourages you to slam a driver and another long club on the second. Hittable in two, for some. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/08/2021

18, par-5, 570. On the second shot, the fairway’s safe side is the right, which better opens up the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/08/2021

Another view of 18. As classic as the Tillinghast holes on the front side. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/08/2021

New Tees Coming In Great! Photo submitted by Golfguyswf on 08/15/2018
Very nice golf course
For the lack of rain the course was in great shape. Tiffany keeps the course in good condition despite the time of year and weather. The bartender, Ruth, was very friendly and went above and beyond. We will absolutely be returning.
Terrible
The course is is terrible shape. Dirt tee boxes, no grass. Greens are torn up. They charge you $64 for a sandlot. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Great public course!
Great layout by one of the OG American golf architects. A.W. Tillinghast also designed Bethpage, Baltusrol, Winged Foot, and many others.
Challenging and well maintained
Went on an early Monday solo 18 hole for my first time there, staff was beyond courteous and gave me the detailed lay out and what to expect. Got my cart for $45 and worth the charge for the engaging challenge the course offers. Especially on the back 9. A lot of hazards and bunkers paradise, an amateur golfer would be wise to bring extra balls. Pro-shop does sell some along with cold beer, note that outside coolers and booze won’t fly here. Would gladly go back for the peaceful views and to try and make par.
Short and tough
Staff and course were great.Narrow fairways and elevated greens are challenging.
Fairways and greens in good shape. Rough was manageable. Tee boxes were very hard. Great staff. A fun day.
Good 2nd choice
So your favorite courses are all booked this is a good 2nd choice. Old course with doglegs some forced carries not long, about 6200 yds from the tips. Greens were very slow. Overall conditions were good. Bunkers need work. Picturesque with mountains (?) on both side of course. Also much better than its neighbor course Highpoint CC just back in NJ.
Fun course to play. Pretty wide open mostly but some very tight tee shots. Get directions before you start out or you'll be spending your day on a treasure hunt trying to find the next tee. Low-key but worth it!
Great course with great staff
The course was in great shape even for having rained a decent amount in the days leading up to our round. The staff was excellent and extremely friendly.
Course is in great shape
The Lynx at Riverbend is in absolutely beautiful shape.
The fairways are lush and the greens were rolling quick.
The surrounding trees and plants and flowers are incredible. The staff is very friendly and the course is a great value compared to other golf courses in the area.
Not a bad course, but..
First of all, it was very wet. We had dinner rain yesterday, but it's a low lying area. Next, the greens were true but very SLOW. The fairways were ok and the rough was long. If you don't know this course, there's a good chance you will be hitting some sites in the wrong direction. The layout is very strange and blind. All was going well until the 12th tee. I was alone until then with no one in sight. Suddenly, there was a threesome on the tree when I arrived at the 12th, a par 3. Instead of asking me to hit up our join them, they ignored me and forced me to wait on every shot from thereon in. No brains or etiquette among them. Not a Marshall on the course. Turned a great 2hr 15min round into over 3 hours. No excuse for this. Also, the bugs are terrible, probably because it's a swampy area. Could be a great course, but too expensive for what you get.
NIce Track
We found this course wide open with hard greens requiring good iron play in order to score.
Fun Track, Great Value
Course was fun, challenging and staff was great. Pace of play was great - sub 4 hour round. Like most courses in area the lack of rain was evident but still played well. Great value for $. Will definitely be bacl
Terrible condition
Played many courses in the surrounding area and this place is far and away the worst condition we've seen all summer. There's league play a couple times a week so I think they're making money. Just obvious that none is being put into maintaining the course. Fairways dried out and chopped up. Tee boxes nothing but dirt and sand. Bunkers unplayable. Greens slower than my back yard. Too bad because the layout is fun and interesting with 4 sets of tees.
Fun Course that’s getting better
This is a very fun course to play and is seemingly getting better with work to improve the course obviously being done. For example, some of the tee boxes are in great shape, some not, and some clearly under repair, which is encouraging that soon all will be in great condition. The greens are in decent condition, but quite slow my last visit. Pace was great…played 18 in 3:27. Staff was very friendly even when I asked for a repeat of the incredibly long beer list. I only give 3 stars because it just isn’t a 5 star course and, for that matter, hardly any courses are. It is a solid 3 with potential to be a 3.3-4 star course.
Great location. Great layout.
Good experience of a round of golf.
Green was a bit slow that day but everything else was great.
