Great Dye Design

Lots of Carries and blind shots off the tee. Need to trust the yardage guide and have faith in your shots. Off course amenities are sub-par for a $200 round but that should rectified in a few more years. Plenty of picturesque holes, be sure to play the proper tees otherwise the course will eat you alive.

Beautiful Course

Played Pound Ridge this weekend on the best golf day of the year. All the leaves were turned and the place was gorgeous. Greens were rolling well and course was in great condition. Had a breakfast sandwich and the chicken sandwich later in the round, both were great. $245 is a steep price to pay for a round of golf, but I left the course feeling like I’d gotten my moneys worth. Will definitely be back.

took a pull cart

The layout is designed for carts. Taking a pull cart presents challenges especially if you are not familiar with the course layout. A few times I actually found myself lost - not knowing where the next hole was.. More than once, with my pull cart, I was in a place where I couldn’t get to the next hole. That all said. the course is beautiful, and from the Oak tees, a great challenge. As a first timer - reading the greens was difficult, made even more challenging because they were recently punched.

Glad I Didn't Pay Full Price!!!

On a sunny, Labor Day Monday, I played a round at Pound Ridge Golf Course. Upon arrival, I checked in, only to find out the discounted price I paid was not to be offered by GolfNow because it was a holiday. They honored the prices, which was great to hear.

The practice facilities were great. Chipping green, practice sand bunker, putting green and unlimited balls on the practice range were a great experience.

About the course. Course was in excellent shape. It was a very challenging course, whether having to hit over water to reach fairways, or stay out of fairway bunkers, it tested your skills. Pins were tucked in hard to reach spots. So overall, course was challenging but some holes were fair. A great test of golf.

I chose to title my review as I did only because as the practice facility and course was great, paying nearly $300 on a public course is a stretch for me, so I am glad I didn't have to pay full price to experience a great round of golf.

Past my expectations

I am very local to this course and finally had the chance to play here and may i say this is the best golf course i have ever been too and played at. While that be conditions of the course, the people playing, staff helping you out at the cart and bag drop off area and everyone in the club house. I haven’t been in a more amazing atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this course to everyone and i will be coming back

Tee TIME

I reserved a tee time through Golf Now, The day before I was going to play, I hurt my wrist hitting balls. I called Golf Now but it was after 5 o'clock. i called back in the morning and i was told i was t within 24 hours of my tee time and i needed to call the course because Golf NOW was not responsible for the $245.00 i wanted to be refunded to me. I called the course and spoke to Larry in the Pro shop. He told me he could give a rain check if i had made the tee time with the Pro shop , not Golf Now. I am now out $245.00 because both Golf Now and Pound Ridge refused to help me.

Fun course

Golf day with my 2 sons which doesn't happen to often because of their busy schedules. Had a great time on this beautifully manicured course and excellent staff. The Pete Dye design to me is a bit overrated but overall a great facility and fun to play.

Very Well Manicured and Maintained

This was my first time playing at Pound Ridge and i’ll definitely go back! Very beautiful landscape, secluded, quiet, and challenging. Make sure you hone in on your driver shots before playing here as you’ll find yourself on the wrong fairways if you tend to slice. I highly recommend this course, get the chicken sandwich at the 9th hole!

Challenging design

This course will test every aspect of you’re game. Lot of tee shots require a long carry so you get the rip driver a lot which is always enjoyable. Staff is friendly.
We were provided water and tees and also range balls.
I would play here again any day.

Course condition is excellent

Course is in fantastic shape! Greens are Firm and fast. Piece of play was fantastic finish and 3 1/2 hours. Green fees are on the high side. However, if you get a hot deal, it brings it back into the reasonable range.

Absolute top tier public course

All of the benefits of a private club. Range, short game area, and great food for anyone willing to pay a bit more than their average muni course. The layout is phenomenal, greens are fast and pure and the scenery is second to none. Absolutely worth the money.
