Enjoyable
Free range when you get there, which is nice. Tough course. Groundskeepers on basically every hole. A group of them just hanging out on the tee boxes furthest from the clubhouse not really doing anything. The main guy managing the course is solid.
Tough and not entirely fair, but fun
This is a Pete Dye special. If you’re scratch and can work the ball both ways, or you play from the 25+ handicap tees, this is a visually interesting course with some fun shots. If you’re not scratch, or you’re just having a not-quite-there day…this course will make you pay. It’s stern and will show you what you need to work on in your game, but don’t take the bounces and absurd side-hill lies in the middle of the fairway personally. On the plus side, your pars will feel heroic and any birdies will feel superhuman, so you’ll have that going for you — which is nice.
another great golf day

Overpriced
WAYYYY overpriced for what you get. The course was in great shape. Layout was great. I’m your average golfer that likes to play nice courses. But everything else was a joke. I payed all this money to share it with the maintenance crew on what it looked like every hole. We TeeOff at 11 am. The whole round was waiting for these guys to get out of the way. Or playing with lawnmower right next to you. It was close to 100 degrees. No cart girl. Not once. Then your done playing and you want to eat and get something to drink and it’s horrible. The pro shop and eating area is in the same place. All in a little shack. What a joke. With all the money they charge. You would think they would have a nice looking pro shop. And a more inviting eating area. I’ve seen better eating areas in gas stations. Not worth the money
Nice course, great layout, smooth greens. Lots of bunkers!! Good challenge!
Ball divots on greens!
Love the course. Day was very slow - almost 5 hrs. Ranger needs to lean on slow groups to keep pace. Just my opinion, but I think the starters need to tell every group that goes out to repair their ball marks on EVERY green. It’s unacceptable that a lot players don’t do it. If you have to, give them a cheap logoed ball mark repair tool in lieu of tees for every cart.
Great course with a challenging layout. Will definitely be back to play from a different set of tees.
Staff and management continually miss the mark
I applaud the maintenance team on a great course but unfortunately management and the bag room staff continually seem to miss the mark. My first time playing here I was told I needed to purchase a $15 meal in order to buy a beer. Second time playing here my 4ball was harassed by the staff for being 8mins “out of position” while the only other group out was a hole and a half behind us. Its a nice course but certainly not worth the hefty price tag to be arbitrarily rushed in.
