Enjoyed the weather and the layout of the holes. We would go back to play the course again.

Slow round, course wouldn’t allow carts on the back nine so I didn’t play the back nine because of that. I have played this course before and it’s always slow. GET A RANGER!!!!

This course layout is a favorite of mine. I've always loved playing here. Its warts are myriad but I still come back.

Its biggest drawback is how its run. Being a muni you never see a ranger and play is super slow. If it hasn't been wet the course is usually in solid shape. However it drains like crud so if it's been rainy expect a squishy slog.

It could easily be one of the best courses in town given a resource infusion.

I have been playing Durand for at least 15 years on Thursday mornings. We have faced many different conditions, but in the past two years, with the County taking over the course has been in exceptional shape. My only complaints are with the facilities, i.e. I believe the golfer should be entitled to use the restrooms in the club house and the concession stand should be opened much earlier for coffee and breakfast sandwiches.

Great course. Challenging yet not difficult. Friendly people (both workers and players). Course plays slow which it has for many years. I enjoy you are not playing into another fairway with a slice or hook (unfortunately it is a lost ball instead but you tend to find another ball anyway). I would recommend this course to everyone and for a $10 hot deal price (18 holes with cart) you cannot go wrong.

I've played this course pretty much weekly for 20+ years. The course is in better shape than in the recent past. Kudos for that. The layout is good and the setting beautiful, but the pace of play is steadily getting worse. 5+ hour rounds are becoming the norm. There is no starter and no ranger, at least not on weekend mornings. Also, much of the clubhouse, including the restrooms, is shut off to golfers, who are relegated to using the always-messy one-holer toilets by the snack bar, which itself doesn't open until fairly late. Durand is still a good value,

Robert Trent Jones Created a Masterpiece. And Mother Nature makes it unplayable.

I have played this course forever and the front 9 is great. Crossing the road for the back nine takes you into Atlantis. Fairway plugs, Bogs and Marshes. Not Fun!

The elevation of the 10th hole sends you into a water world that seldom dries. I major reconstruction to get the water to pool in designed areas would be great. But as a public course... It hasn't happened in 40 years, Don't hold your breath.

Durand Eastman was in great shape, and the new management seems to be taking very good care of the place. Our group got a great deal ($15) for 18 and a cart through Golf Now.

This course is very tight, and many of the greens are right alongside the next teebox. Definitely not the place for beginners.

I have played this coarse for 50 years... and it will always be my favorite coarse... problem this year was mother nature and the rain which rasied the level of Lake Ontario... and the back 9 is barely above the Lake level and then extremely soggy. The silt had filled the creeks and the reeds grew so high some shots are blind in the middle of the fairway. Problem is unless you hit the green, your ball plugs and you lose it in the middle of the fariway... not too mention the soggy and muddy shoes you have after looking for your ball, and yea there was a cart out there sunk over the axles...

Glad I went for first time with someone familiar with this course. Some long par 4's even from white tees though entire length was only 5800. Course was still wet in spots so no roll. Played long. Beautiful layout with high hilly tee boxes. Not many flat lies on the course so be prepared for some tricky shots!!

Durand is a fun but challenging course. Because of the amount of rain the area has had the carts were only let out on front 9. Golf now did not advise us when booking the course. I have played this course many times so it was not a surprise to me as this course is known to hold water. I usually play it in summer when the course is dried out.

A Definate must-play. A Robert Trent Jones course, although it has changed from the original. A Tight, Oak lined course with creeks that wind the fairways. small and difficult greens, many of which are elevated. Very Scenic but a bit pricey for the value. Fun to play.
