Genesee Valley Golf Course - North

The course is in better shape than it has been in years. Actual cart paths on the front nine. The fairways are in good condition, the rough is at a fair length, and the tees and greens are much improved.
It would be nice if there was a ranger on the course to keep play moving.
The snack bar is sufficient, but not open early enough to buy coffee. Thanks for you attention, Fran

Solid Public course. Golf now had 18 holes walking for $12 that's a perfect price. The par 3's are longer than most courses (200+) which makes them challenging.

While playing the North course with friends I hit my FIRST hole-in-one on the 4th hole, a 147 yard straight shot with little hazards. Hope you'll enjoy as much as I did.

This is a great course for a cheap round. Very little sand, no water, pretty open with some tree lined layout. Good practice green and chipping area.

This course is in good shape under the new management company. Staffs are more friendly then I played here 8 years ago . All they need to do is add some sand traps throughout then this course will come alive

Course in good shape depending on certain day of the week. Short and easy without much challenge. Round can be completed in 3 1/2 hrs or less with a cart.

This is a straight foreword course with few sand traps and water hazards. It does have trees that you might find yourself getting into if you are unable to consistently hit your ball straight. Still most holes allow for miss hits that you can recover from without penalty. The rough was thick and the greens were a little fast and hard but the course was in good condition. The foursome I was with was able to complete 18 holes in 3 hours on a weekday morning. Overall the value was good, the staff was helpful and friendly and a good time was had by all.

The Staff was friendly and helpful, pointing out the course lay-out. The carts ran fast, which sped up play. There appears to be a lot of Walkers and twosomes, which doesn't speed up play. The course is very dry and hard. The greens are very quick, fast, and never leave a ball mark! Putting is true. The greens are most receptive to the players that roll their ball up to them, and can control the distance of the roll out. If you hit the green on approach, you usually go off of the back.

The course was in better condition than the weather. Greens were in very good condition, better than some premium courses in the area. As a single, 3 groups let me play through, nice, that doesn't always happen. i had a fun time, and golf is supposed to be fun.

First time playing this course. Relatively easy for good golfers. Curse in reasonable condition but not great. Very mature course with great potential if maintained.
Greens in very good shape but easy to read.
Ponding issues onthe course. Needs improved drainage. Lots ofeneven ground / pot holes - needs repairing.

Some previous reviews had me a little nervous that the course I used to play years ago was completely run down but that was not the case. The greens and tee boxes were in good shape and the fairways were decent enough. From the back tees, the course plays to almost 6500 yds which isn't bad. There are several par 4's over 400 yds, every par 5 is atleast 500 yds, and the 3 par 3's on the front 9 all play atleast 200 yds. The greens do not have much slope, but they are small and will really test the accuracy of your iron shots. There are definitely enough trees out there to make you pay for inaccurate tee shots. Still a great course to play!

GVP is a very above average municipal course at a great value. Never crowded and pace of play is never a problem. Fairways and greens are in average to good condition year round. Course layout can be boring at times and there's not much variety. I think there's only 1 bunker on the entire course. Overall, a decent course, great value, and great for taking out beginners.

The grass was too long around the holes making chipping a nightmare. They kept sending people out despite slow play which was frustrating. Practice facilities aren't bad but course was pretty boring.

Paying my greens fee at the clubhouse was surprisingly cheap but with that is expected be had a bad time with bad conditions. immeadetly on the first teebox I noticed this place wasn't in good shape. poor teeboxes, and fairways. the course didn't have markings (distance) to gren anywhere but the teebox and scorecard. holes are basic and place is wide open. so if your looking to play an anywhat serious round go elsewhere.

This course is not in good shape. For the money you pay (cheap) isn't a shock but still isn't good. Fairways, Tee boxes, Bunkers, Greens all add up to the overall bad condition of this course. Every green id get lucky to two putt because greens are not in good shape dirt patches and much more its not when you look at the scorecard.
