Oldie, But Goodie
The course has been around forever. It's Town-owned, so they won't put any $ into it. The course is ok, but the cart paths are terrible.
Still fun, though.
VERY UPSET ABOUT GOLF NOW'S NEW SERVICE FEE!!!!!!
Leaves
It is late fall. The course is covered in leaves. Many lost balls. In open areas. Machine tracks on greens, through bunkers. The tee boxes were horrible. As if they gave up. Maybe they have. We were literally the only group there. Disappointing. If the tees were there and the leaves were cleaned. A little maintenance. I think it would be a fun course.
Rolling oaks golf
Course is in fair shape Trees need to be trimmed very overgrown make a lot of holes nearly impossible to hit clean, Greens tee boxes and fairways are in decent shape Course is short but has a few challenges
Nice golf course with a great welcome.
Very heavy rain the day before, a couple of wet spots but fairways, tees and greens were very playable; greens; especially good. Pace was good, and I was let through without question when pair in front were looking for a ball. I liked the course; tees a little bare in patches - but playable. First time playing the course I found the last two holes are very quirky big puddle and geese - neither controllable by course, and 18th has water hazard at a funny distance from tee so choose your club wisely. Overall I’d like to play here again.
Worth it with the discount
Using the Hot Deals on the app was the only option for me. Playing 18 with a cart for $40 was definitely a good deal. The course, however, was in fair condition at best. Grass was sparse, especially around the greens. Most of my chips were off mud-grass. Greens were ok...although apparently no one repairs their ball marks here. Fairways were in the best shape. Tee boxes similar to around the greens....very sparse grass.
Frienly Staff, no frills course
The staff was friendly and the golf carts were maintained well.
The course was clean and moderately
The Course design was not very well thought out, the cart paths tend to lead to multiple holes. The fairways and greens were acceptable but could use a little extra care.
The pathways and hole placards and signage were damaged and or missing information.
The Flagstick\Pin were not numbered and their black and white coloring made them difficult to see even on the shorter holes.
In need of tree management
The fairways and green were in excellent condition and the layout was very good. The problem was the trees are very overgrown, into the fairways, making it very difficult for the average to below average golfer to catch a fairway without gettingknocked around even with a straight shot. If they were to cut back the trees from over the fairways, this would be a top executive course on Long Island. Over all it was an enjoyable round.
