Doral Golf Club, The

Under managed. It is"catch as catch can". There is no one present to get people off the 1st tee. It is chaotic. Rounds can be slower as no ranger is out. It is a nice 9 hole track that requires straight shots. There are many bunkers that punish less than precise shots.

Played here again (see review 2 days ago) since I found a low priced deal again...for me that is key since when playing alone 9 holes is usually enough. Also this course is a satisfying 9 holes.

Always a great time at Doral. One of the most challenging courses in town.

I play this course on occasion when I can get a super low priced deal or equivalent I would not pay the $40+ walk in rate. The layout is interesting and if you are up for only playing 9 holes you will be satisfied - providing that the price is right

Can't do much better for quality of a 9 hole course, but its a little pricey!

Greens and fairways are in great shape! They need a few more rakes for the bunkers though!

It's not a bad layout, though very tight due to the overall size of property and proximity of condos. Incorporates mounds to keep balls in play and away from condos...unless you hit the wrong side of the mound. Well trapped, but therein lies the problem: the traps have only a thin veneer of sand. If you pay the standard rate, it is way overpriced. Played second nine in 2:45 after 1:45 first nine.

I enjoyed playing this course. It definitely kept your attention and made you calculate your shots. I will definitely play this course again.

Beautiful course very challenging lay out, Greens and fairways are like playing a private course ! It's very well maintained. This is a must play if you are in the area the Staff is excellent and very accommodating to golfers its a pleasure to play this course and I can't wait to play it again ! ( Don't be surprised if you see a local sports celebrity on the course its that well know. )

Course conditions outstanding. What a challenge this course is, especially from the blue tees. The vibe is just like playing in Florida, the only thing missing is palm trees. I invited some friends to play and they were raving about the course. Highly recommended.

The course is very nice. We really would have liked to play all 9 holes. After the 3rd hole there was a back up to the 9th hole by the girls high school golf league. If we would have known this, we would have waited to another day to play the course. The staff did not inform us of the back up. We decided to leave after waiting 20 minutes to play the 4th hole.

Tough course. Tight fairways with trouble if you miss. Lots of water. I am an average golfer (high 90s) and must've lost 8 balls. My son lost another 10.
Too tough for us but a nice course in good condition.
Only other issue is it is a 9 hole course so that if you play 18 you are playing the same holes twice. On top of that you then run into pace of play issues because when u wrap around there are others just starting on 1.
But it really is a nice 9 if you are a good player.

The course was in great shape. Tee boxes were cut nicely. The fairways were immaculate. The greens rolled true. Bunkers were a little hard. But not to bad. The rough was thick but not to thick.
