Doral Golf Club, The

If you're looking for Bethpage Black, this ain't it!
However, if you are looking for a challenge, this little gem is just what the doctor ordered. It's a short, tight at times, well manicured test of anyones Spring game. That's not to say that you'll be crushing it here in the Fall. But, this little lady makes you stand up and pay attention. She can be very unforgiving, (water, water, everywhere and not a drop to drink, if you get my meaning!).
So, if you like a challenge, as I do, give this track a go.

This was my first time playing this course.
Unfortunately it was quite wet after all the NY rain.
The course is in great shape. Greens a bit tricky though.
Would definately return.

I like Doral when the other courses are full. Nine holes, twice around. Some very interesting shots, but some "forced" holes in and around the resort and condos. You have to drive - which I hate - but there's really no choice. Pace of play can be super fast or incredibly slow, because they'll put some resort guests out there with no clue, or kids, or solo members playing a few balls slowly (no ranger, no real starter to guide pace of play). It is what it is - a nice little semi-public resort 9-hole with some very fun shots and views. The trio of par 3's is probably the best feature of the course, as is the signature par 5 fifth hole, which is a manufactured beauty, Tons of water, so bring extra balls. Generally excellent conditions, though soup after days of driving spring rain. Decent driving range and putting green too, with all-too-rare chipping/sand practice area.

Course conditions were good leafs were well managed. The sun seems to play an effect on this course more then most.

Course is not too long.. but somehow still challenging.. I Like the Views.. some greens are narrow.. some holes need an extra club.. Anyway.. if you have never played there, should give a try.. On weekday.. I can finished 18holes within 3 hours..

Play on a cool Sunday afternoon in the fall. Two issues not really related to the course made for special challenges...Wind and leaves...Nothing like hitting the fairway and losing a ball in the middle... Wind was from every direction and the leaves are at full dump so there was a few times looking for balls took a couple minutes..And one or two that it was just lost. Beautiful course surrounded by houses and condo's and will definitly play again when in the area. Tight, and narrow on most holes. Challenges abound with water, dips and mounds to contend with. Really a fun round and enjoyable place to play. Got a great gold now deal and will be looking for more in the future...

The starter sent a group of nearby Purchase College students ahead of our 2:00 pm time, they were playing 5 to a hole, it took us ½ hour to complete the first hole. We called the pro shop but the guy apologized but said he was out of people to send out.

Luckily, the Purchase College coordinator, waved us through in the 3rd hole, but the round was busted time-wise. Only if you are desperate…..

The course was challenging. The weather was awesome. Two negatives: the course was under repair on one hole. The other issue was there was no water available & it was hot. I think the facilities may have been closing for the season.

Doral is an excellent course, condition, layout and value.

Golf now alert us that the greens had been cored this week but we thought how bad can it be. Some green were so bad there we old plugs still on the green. I should not have 11 three putt greens off a single digit handicap, including one miss from 12 inches that did not even hit the hole. Really a waste of time on a perfect day. I know this needs to be done but do it right and then do not charge full green fees for substandard conditions. If i got a 50 pct discount then fair enough, but no excuse. Doubt the course will be worth playing for weeks

Played Doral Arrowwood a nicely laid out and well maintained nine hole course. Maintenance work currently going on at course including green aeration. Very impressed that GolfNow staff took the time to both email and call me to inform me of green aeration and offer option to cancel. Staying at the hotel so played the course and very much enjoyed the experience. Would recommend this course and GolfNow.

First time playing his course, found a tee time on golf now for 35$ 18 holes. The course is only a 9 hole but it was really nice. Very well maintained and just refreshing change from the state public courses. I play in Naples, FL a lot and this course kinda reminded me of that style of play... Town homes surround. Overall great course, I wouldn't pay the usual 90$ per round but for 35$ it was the best round of the year, just different style of course than the local state courses, lots of water and elevation, greens are great.

Course in good shape and fun to play. Not long but tight.

The course is very interesting and you can easily lose a ball on any of the 9 hole. Plenty of water and interesting holes. Greens were very good and heavily bunkered. No weak holes and it was great to play the same 9 holes twice and then see how you do on the second attempt.

The course was great some tough holes but that's what I like. Very friendly staff and great food. I would definitely play here again.

Played here quite a few times, can't get enough! The course is in excellent condition, and the staff very friendly! Great holes, and landscape!

This is an excellent track in fantastic condition. It is short, tight, and the greens are unforgiving if you are in the wrong position
