Nice for all golf skills.
A shorter course, so it plays well for medium skill players. But without course management, many holes can jump up and bite you. Greens are fair. Not too fast but roll true. Mild subtleties make the short game fun.
The long game challenge comes at the ROC. A long links style layout that is hit and rip fun.
A gem that needs more play.
So, what are you waiting for? Just a short drive off the 90.
Great golf for the $.
Good time with friendly staff. Golf and lunch were very good. Best deal for the $.
Solid course for the value
Great course for the price. Can't go wrong. I would check it out if you haven't, won't break the bank
Wing Pheasant
Great day at Winged Pheasant. Course in good shape despite the heavy rains. Bunkers nice and fluffy...and to top it all off, a BALD eagle siteing. Pace of play four hours. Greens a tad slow, course over all challenging and a lot of fun.
Love the 1st being dogleg....gets you right into golf mode
Great course overall, well kept, challenging for a beginner like me.....going back no doubt about it
This golf course is in terrible shape
Clumps of grass all over the fairways, grass was long everywhere, tee boxes weren't mowed, workers constantly driving around on gas golf carts disturbing everyone. Horrible place to play I would never recommend it. Not to mention it's very out dated.
Way Underated
Wonderful course, way beyond expectations. I would have paid three or four times what we got on for. Greeted by the pro who introduced himself which doesn't happen at much pricier courses. Some of the holes even had a country club feel. Will definitely go back. It's well worth the drive. Maintained beautifully too!
Ranger needed
I like this course, and play there often. Sometimes there is slow play - I'm not playing in "prime time" - and can be frustrating. Some of the regulars don't seem to care about their fellow hackers. This should be a well under 4 hour round layout. A ranger would help, especially on the back 9.
Fun day at the course
Anyone in the Finger Lakes area should make a tee time through Golf Now for discounts. Staff are friendly, and both sides are fun to play!!
My home town course
Always a great round of golf. Using golf now you"re able to play cheap! I suggest playing this course if you"re in the Finger Lakes area.
Nice
It was a light rain the whole time but the course played fine , I was very impressed with how it held up in the weather. Challenging course but easy, nice par three holes. The par five holes play long but straight. Fun course
The Pheasant
It was an average course. Friendly staff. The only problem was their hole signs were not out yet. Course layout was confusing without markings or signs.
Improving!
Been playing here for over 15 years. Has clearly improved. Greens roll true. Extended 14th hole to a particular 5 which is amazing for the course.
Course is in good shape
Yes, fairways and greens ate in nice shape, especially considering the lack of rainfall in the area this summer. Staff is always friendly. A good value.
Nice Layout
Tees, fairways and greens all in very good shape.
Cart paths are horrible. No signs to guide you to the next tee. And no water on the course on a hot day.
