Excellent
Challenging course. Greens were in great shape. Ill play there more
Nice home town course
Course was well laid out. Great future potential. Can tell that money is being invested in all the right places to improve course look and performance.
Fair condition course
Greens were in decent condition. Fairways and teeboxes left much to be desired. There was a tournament going on which held up pace of play a lot. Fortunately, the staff was very accommodating and offered a rain check for the back 9.
Good value via GolfNow for an average course in the area
This course is a long time standing in the area with a loyal group of aging regulars. It is a fair course and a good value via GolfNow, but slightly overpriced for the area otherwise. It makes for a good maintenance round to keep your skills sharp and swinging regularly through the short season here.
Great Course
I really enjoyed playing this course! It was in very good shape and will test your whole game. It has a good mix of long and short holes. It is tree lined enough to make you be careful on your tee shots, but not so much that you are scared to hit driver. I will definitely play here again.
This course was fun and challenging
Great course, well maintained and the beer was cold.
getting better
Went past this course last year and drove right out. There is a driving range along the long driveway to the club house that was in horrible shape. Come to find out the driving range is NOT part of the golf club! The owners of the golf club are working to improve the course and it shows. As they continue to upgrade the facility it will only get better!
I plan on going again.
A pleasant surprise
Its very obvious they are working on improving the course in many areas; making the course more enjoyable. Drainage and facilities have been upgraded which made the round very enjoyable. One suggestion (I would give to most courses around here); rake the bunkers often.
Braemar Country Club in The Fall
The greens are a lot bigger than they appear. So getting the ball to the correct level is important for a good score..
never again
I could not believe how unfriendly the staff was. Between 5 different staff members only one was polite. When I went out on Sunday with a friend we were told "you guys need to hurry up, I've got a tournament coming through". Keep in mind we were going at a very good pace and the only reason why we were "slow" was because the pair in front of us were golfing 30yrds each shot. If you''re going to have a tournament then it should go first, so amateurs can golf at a leisurely pace, and not rushed. The course is very nice looking but horribly labeled. Many times there are multiple paths and they aren't labeled which hole they go to. Because of the horrendous customer service, Ill never go back.
There are much better choices out there...
I golfed at Bremar because of the decent reviews from Golfnow, I was dissapointed to say the least. I was coming from Buffalo, so it was about a 1 1/2 hour drive, and I paid $14, Great deal right...Ahhh no.. Google maps will have you driving up and own Dean st. I mentioned that to the Manager and he said oh yeah that was the adress to our old entrance, like it was a joke... The joke is the course actually.
Nice country course
This was our first time at this course. I really liked the layout and scenery was nice. Course has a lot of trees, but they nicely outline many of the holes which adds to the scenery. The first green and tenth green are very small compared to the other holes. Fairways were not bad at all and the greens were pretty good. Some of the tee boxes needed attention. Overall, we would definitely play this course again.
Very nice course
I enjoyed this course very much. Under new management so course improvements are understandable. Does not affect play. I will play again soon.
Grade A
Was very impressed with bra-mar. I am a course snob, often playing mill creek, Ravenwood, wildwood, eagle vale etc. but this course is in great shape, greens are great and it's a great challenge. Open but not to open where you don't need to think about some shots. Overall just a great experience
Pristine Greens
First time playing this course. Some minor construction (improvements) in process in peripheral areas, but the course was in great shape. The greens were perfect--almost like they were never played. I walked. My wife carted it. Easy walking--no drastic elevation changes. Cart paths could use a bit of work--deep ruts, pot holes, cracked asphalt.
Affordable and fun
You need to hit your driver straight or else you'll be in a lot of trouble! Most of the course is surrounded by woods so you have to hit your irons straight.
