Hot Day After the Deluge
We played LTGC after heevy rain the day and evening before. This is the BEST I've seen this course in July!! My twosome was paired with a couple of singles. Course conditions were spectacular. Tee boxes, fairways, greens and traps were in remarkable shape. I only saw on trap that had water from the recent rain. The others were well groomed. Given the recent rain, no boggy spots. Time to play was just over 4 hours --- and we took our time. No delays at any holes. The "pits" parking lot was recently re-graveled and leveled. The pot hole craters are non-existent. Had a great day and will repeat this season.
Course looks great
Been playing here for years and the course has never looked as good as it does now. The new owners have done an incredible job with the course. The greens are in the best shape I’ve ever seen them. I’m impressed
In Good Shape!
Course was in much better shape than I saw last year. Grass cut appropriately, greens in good shape, and sand in bunkers. Plays pretty open with relatively large greens. Worth a trip to check it out!
pristine condition
have played this track countless times, first time back in over 2 years and just wow. the course has never been in better condition, kudos to the greens keepers and grounds crew, keep up the good work! definitely worth every penny.
had a 5pm twilight tee time, played all 18 holes in 2.5hrs. will be back for sure!
Improve bunkers and tee boxes
Greens and fairways are in great condition, bunkers and tee boxes are subpar. For the price I’d expect better overall upkeep
Bad conditions, no guidance from staff
Bunkers are made of dirt, no sand whatsoever. Carts were filthy and not emptied out between use. No Marshal on the course. Greens were aerated without warning and filled with debris. Tee boxes are a mess. Price is absurd for the course amenities and conditions.
8 Steps to Destroying a Golf Course, by La Tourette management.
if you ever want learn how NOT to maintain a golf course, this is the place.
Step 1: Aerate your greens, use half a bag of sand on each, brush the sand in once, then leave the greens for 3-4 weeks and hope for the best.
Step 2: Still charge full green fees with unfilled holes on the greens for customer satisfaction
Step 3: Progressively slant all your tee boxes and never ever level them over 8 years
Step 4: Convert all your bunkers to water hazards, never fix the drainage, and hire geese to swim in your new “water bunkers”
Step 5: Never replace range balls.
Step 6: Find the hardest surface you can for your range turf to compliment your tee boxes and give golfers the closest experience to your actual tee boxes you can
Step 7: Add potholes and uneven surfaces to your parking lot for added convenience
Step 8: NEVER clean your golf carts and let the rain do it
Fun course
Good course worth playing for the money. Little shaggy and had just punched the greens. Need to monitor pace of play better
Not worth any money.
Spend your money elsewhere. Unfortunately I had the worst experience of my life playing golf here and once I played on a course which shared property with an insane asylum. There were literally people aimlessly walking around the fairways.
Carts- garbage
Staff- 2 young kids
Course- poorest of poor maintenance
Amenities- literally zero
Sad condition
Very disappointed in the course conditions! Total lack of maintenance in many months. No staffing including pro shop, starter, Marshall, only one person in bar /restaurant area to sell tee times. No tee markers on the worn out teeing area's Multiple flooded bunkers which haven't been machined since last fall. All this while charging Top Dollar on a Monday morning. Need I say more ??
Tee Box Renovations!
I almost fell out of cart when I saw a crew working on #3 Tee Box! I can’t remember last time I saw Any type of Maintenance going on here, Bravo! Now I’m wondering if the course has been sold to another management team? Multiple tee boxes being leveled and resurfaced, also irrigation pipes being replaced and sand traps getting face lifts, Finally! This course has great potential if maintained. Looking forward to next spring to see if all the work continues, let’s hope so👍!
