Nicest course around
This is truly a great golf experience. The course is in great shape considering all the rain we have had this summer. Grass is well mowed and greens are fast. The back 9 of this course is a real challenge but very interesting. The restaurant is also great. Overall a great value for the money.
Beautiful golf course
Beautiful and challenging but far golf course. Great lunch menu as well.
A good challenge for the best of golfers. Great fairways, fast greens, and sandy bunkers.
It was the first time my wife and I had played Vesper Hills. We played from the red tee boxes and found this course to be quite the challenge. A beautiful course that offered a beautiful view of Otisco lake as well as the surrounding hills and trees. As it was a busy day, pace of play was slow. Would like to recommend that water coolers be added to the course. Will play here again.
Beautiful setting
Played in foursome and pace of play was very good. Greens were true. Course challenging enough for the men in our group but fair to women. After round had wonderful dinner in restaurant. Fish fry was great and seafood chowder was outstanding. Great value
Gorgeous
A super pleasant clubhouse , pro shop , and course.! The hilly views are breathtaking . The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable ! We love playing this challenging course and enjoy their bar and dining area!
Fun course, great price
$10 hot deal through golfnow plus i had $10 reward for booking through them before so the round cost me $3.49 with taxes and fees which is incredible compared to some other courses with more expensive.... hotdeal prices and the course is nowhere near as nice as this one...They have been putting a lot of work/time/money into this course and it shows, i first played here 2 years ago and since then its has only gotten better and seems to be a trend that will continue they also have a beautiful clubhouse/restaurant/ bar and the veiws are great
Take the trip...
My cousin Charlie and I drove up from Binghamton to play the course on a perfect late spring day. I'm a big fan of Cornish designs and this course didn't disappoint. Conditions were good, considering all of the rain we've had lately. You can see that they're working hard on drainage. The greens were near perfect and the fairways solid. The traps had a little washout, but again, it's been a WET spring. I had played here several years ago and remembered the panoramic views, but had forgotten many of the holes. The scorecard says it's a 129 slope from the whites but I began to question that when I shot lows 40's on the front with a somewhat squiffy iron game. I got a reality check on the back 9, which is FAR more hilly than the front. The carts were gas powered and in decent shape. The gent in the clubhouse was welcoming and friendly. The clubhouse is above average, with staff and food that also fit the bill. We had a great time and will be back.
Great course for all levels
I've golfed here twice now. They have just redone the #8 hole and it is an Islamd green. Fantastic! The greens are fast and have undulations that can be tricky but fun. The view is breaking of the lake and vallies. I will golf here often.
tough course
The front 9 has had some work done - added an island green. Is mostly flat and young. The back nine is very hilly with many dog legs. Much tougher than the front. The men's tees (white) are almost 6200 yds, while the senior tees are 5500 and the women's about 5200. The white's are pretty long for me (64 years old), but the seniors are too short. But I have to adjust and be happy with a score in the low 90's instead of my usual 80's.
Great course though. Terrific clubhouse (newly renovated) and views of Ostisco Lake.
Looking forward to playing there many times this season.
Very scenic and excellent facilities
The course is well designed with a variety of tees. Very hilly as it sets far above Otisco lake. Greens and fairways are fine and rough was very playable.
Some holes are cut through the woods but wide enough so they are playable. Carts are nearly new and easily handle the hilly fairways.
My wife and i will be going back. Soon!
