Treated very well.
Greens are in really bad shape, carts paths need work.. nice tropical feel with abundant wild life.
The greens were unplayable. Can’t believe they even let folks play.
Charming course , saddened greens
Good playable course until 5 yards before the green.
Forget putting. Green fee not according to the given
condition .
Fun course
This Sanibel course is challenging and full of local wildlife. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
The layout is interesting with each hole isolated from any other holes. The only problem is that several of the greens are in poor condition and probably should be redone. With that correction it would be an outstanding course, and despite that problem I play this course 5-6 times a year.
I was totally upset and disappointed.. They have completely lost their greens and they will be shutting down the course in May. I think Golf Now should be aware of this and take it off as an option until this course is refurbished.
It was a total rip off!!!!!!
Nice experience
Friendly staff and organized. Had a great club (mile high) sandwich. Greens need some work:
Honesty
The staff advised they had a problem with the greens. If I wasn’t happy after 4 holes they would refund my fee no questions asked. The greens weren’t great but everything else was very good. Fairways had grass. The layout was challenging.. They advised greens to be replaced in May.
I will play again
Sanibel Golf Club
This course charged $125 to play unputtable greens.. They should tell you that when booking. Course should be closed until their greens are replaced. After driving 30 minutes to get their we were told we could get our money back after 3 holes if we were unhappy.
Worst greens I’ve played including putt putt courses.
Great day on the island.
Nice course. Very scenic. Worth the $50 from Golf Now. The people in front of me checking in paid $138. We knew the greens were in bad shape before we got there. They rolled alright just had poor a lot of bare spots on them. Hopefully next year they will be better.
Condition of greens ruins outing
The island tract is very beautiful and playable. But not for the first time in recent years, the greens have completely died, and all but two or three are 50-80% covered by compacted green sand. We honestly still enjoyed the round, and putting wasn’t impossible. But it was like putting on the wet part of a beach. Our playing partners were first timers and low handicappers, and were shocked the course would stay open.
Not worth the toll
Course was in very poor condition granted the proshop said the ciurse was in bad shape and offeredr a refund should we niot like after the 3rd hole. However after driving 45 minutes where would you get another tee time... The condition of course should have been relayed prior to booking not after already being paid for and booked a week in advance. Bad experience would not reccomend. Fairways were poor the greens were painted sand... and we paid $111...
Greens need A LOT of work
The course is lovely and the staff were courteous and helpful, but the greens are in atrocious shape, literally unplayable. The greens are patchy and trying to be seeded, but no putt goes where it's supposed to. No one in my grouping made a putt over 8 feet. If you're ok paying over $120 for greens that will cost you at least 5 shots, feel free to play it. But remember that I warned you not to play there until the greens are fixed, which I was told probably wouldn't be until next year. I wish I took pictures to show how bad they were.
Feel bad
The owners are great, but bad luck with a fungus on the greens. They are trying their best, but the greens are 50+ percent sand. Redoing them this May. Can’t wait to play it next winter season.
good could have been better
Unfortunately the greens were damaged or would have been an excellent course
Greens were a disaster from difficult winter conditions.
