How About Sand in the Sand Traps?
I always enjoy playing here. If I have to find a something to criticize, it begins and ends with the sand traps. They are dirt traps that turn into mud when it rains as it did yesterday. Otherwise, I will always come back. They do a great job spacing out the groups and moving singles like me around to maximize pace of play.
A Challenging links course
It was great to go after work and play at a good pace and still have the freedom to work on parts of the game.
Fun Layout (15 HCP)
Course played in a foursome in just over 4 hours 30 minutes. Fun layout with a lot of doglegs some water and traps. Fairway and greens well kept. Surrounding areas VERY dry, and poorly kept. Busy roads next to a few holes but only the most wayward shots are in danger. Would recommend ESPECIALLY with the GolfNow deal. €90 for two with a cart?! Yea please.
solid
Played a 9:30am round on memorial day weekend. Was expecting it to be super slow but pace was pretty good. Finished in just over 4 hours. Nice, laid back atmosphere. Beachy kind of vibe. Layout was interesting enough and challenging but not overly so. Course is not super long so on a hot day when the ground is firm, the ball runs forever and it plays quite short. Still an enjoyable round and in good shape for early season. Would recommend it to others, especially with more tee time availability than most public courses in the area. Was able to get this time 24 hours prior which is a luxury that doesn't really exist these days at most courses.
Florida Golf On Long Island
I enjoy playing this course because it offers a smooth transition from courses I play in Florida in the winter where water and wind play a role.
Slow play
They double booked tee
Times and even said at 320 time that we are looking at a 5 hour round that’s crazy unorganized didn’t have people go off the back poor set uo
good course - early season conditions
good course, good people on staff - conditions not great yet and windy cold conditions make it tough
