Great Course
Course is lady friendly, good value, and convenient location.
Great 18 hole morning!
Terrific course. The greens were in excellent shape, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Great course and tremendous value in Eastern NC.
Excellent Course!
My wife and I enjoyed our experience at this course! We were a bit late to our tee time, but the staff at the pro shop was understanding. Thank you for being accommodating!
The course was thoroughly beautiful, from first tee to 18th green. All of the tee boxes were level and well-manicured. The fairways were in great shape, despite the fact that we played during the winter season. Natural barriers were expertly used to distinguish one fairway from another; there was no confusion as to which fairway you were on. Dogleg fairways to the left and right, along with lakes and bunkers created variety and challenge for my wife and me. But how about those greens?! They are ridiculously challenging! For the most part they are small, with unique shapes and curvatures to boot. We had a blast trying to figure them out (although badly).
Besides the wonderful course, the general experience was great. Pace of play was relatively quick; my wife and I played 18 in 3.5 hours. Other players on the course were aware when slowdowns began to happen. The pro shop was well-stocked with goodies and essentials. The electric carts are in good shape, with no problems.
This course is well worth the price, and we will definitely play again when we return!!
Best greens in Pitt county
I play all the courses around Greenville and Ayden by far is the most fun, best greens hands down and coolest staff. I love this place
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME
This course was very promising because of its affordability and accessibility. However, upon playing the course this quickly changed. The greens are absolutely awful, varying speeds, and COVERED in Po annua. This makes it impossible to read a put, and is similar to "plinko" on the Price is Right. The staff was very condescending, especially a particular manager named Brandon I believe. The members were rude and hit into my group multiple times, even though we were playing fast. The fairways were 50% dry grass and 50% dirt. Trust me when I say that this course is a waste of time, play ironwood or even bradford creek over this dump.
Good Bang For The Buck
I liked the course. Greens are in great shape. Pace of play was slow because of two fivesomes playing in front of us. This was permitted for some reason.
Nice course in a good area!
The course itself is not too open or too cramped up. A few of the greens had rough spots due to the heat of summer I suppose, but overall they rolled nice and were in good shape! The cart paths on the course were pretty rough so take the grass when needed. Overall I would suggest this course to others!
Enjoyable golf
The course is challenging and not very crowded at the time we played (10:30). Had a good time playing.
tough but fun
This course is always a challenge with that said it is a course that keeps brining you back time and time again. The staff is great and there customer service is always A+. Thank you so much for a great round of golf and looking forward to my next visit.
good for the money
I used to play this course in high school - it was the first course I ever played and I always liked it - I can still say that- the course conditions were very good for the season and I would recommend it to any one.
The only drawback is the driving range - you cannot
hit the driver.
Nice course and challenging
Very nice course. Good condition, friendly staff. Course was in good shape and challenging. nice little driving range also.
Unfair review! Poa is common winter overseed for Bermuda greens and dies off in warm weather. While fairways could use more attention; I'd like to see them cored, yearly. Ironwood is indeed superior, and Bradford is nice and affordable, but with its own nuances.
