Good course
First time playing this course, in fairly cold weather, and with course grass being dormant. Very nice course with some unique holes. Very good value via GolfNow. This is strictly a golf course (no country club feeling). Clubhouse is a basic small building with no frills.
Can't beat Silo Run
Great rate, friendly staff, casual atmosphere, terrific views, challenging layout, beautiful greens. I'll be back for sure.
Some challenging blind shots in a picture of rolling hills
This little gem is nestled in Yadkin County, up in the foothills. While you play, you'll look out and see Pilot Mountain in the distance. The surrounding scenery is worth the ride. The course was in good shape and the greens rolled true. The staff was friendly and other players were courteous, allowing me to play through because I was by my self. This course will challenge you no matter your skill set. Go play Silo Run, you'll be glad you did.
Silo run
We played on Thursday, got a great deal course was in great shape
Silo Run
Great local course! Way better that Yadkin Country Club.
Hidden Gem
In great shape as always, greens rolled smooth, was a beautiful day to play.. good pace of play. This place should be packed everyday especially for fees of under 20.
Beautiful Setting with Mt. Pilot View
Silo Run is a nice drive from Winston-Salem. You past lush farm lands, vineyards into the beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Pilot Mountain.
The course was in very good condition. It is in rolling hills with some up hill greens and one very memorable down hill placement on the back nine. I was glad to see the down hill was mowed instead of over grown.. Water comes into play with a creek and a lake. There are trees that can get into way on errant shots.
The foreward tees are friendly to women and seniors who do not drive the ball over 150 yards. The Blue tee boxes can challenge the long ball hitters.
The amenities are not like a country club so they can make price to play very attractive. I don't want to spend time at a bar when I go there. I can stop to wine taste on way back home at a nearby Winery.
Silo Run is a hidden jewel. I hope to return with friends time and time again.

Self-service golf at its finest!
This is the problem with golf. It is for some reason you run a proshop/course you are better than the people playing your course...The opposite is true. Poor service =NO GOLFERS = No revenue. When someone is a golfnow participant they are traveling to a new course and you want to put your best foot forward. Instead I felt as we were a bother to the staff. There were no carts prepared for play for incoming customers. Carts in the attached shed. The carts were not cleaned and zero direction given for play. If you don't have a starter/cart person to instruct golfers where to go the staff in the shop must!. If this course did not have great greens and is generally one of the best values in nc, I would not go back. I ran a proshop for 4 years. When I was in the business I allowed fivesomes with the understanding that any group that catches you is immediately allowed through if there are open holes ahead. My teenage son that has played since he could walk and I waited on nearly every hole until hole 16. After 5 1/2 hours of hit and wait tournament golf watching a great battle of five champions league players miss three footers all day, they all left the course. My guess is they didn't want us to complain with them in the parking lot. Etiquette please! Playing golf does not make a golfer. Nor does having 18 flags make a course! I hope the staff reads this and improves. Lets make no mistake I love silo run. Thats why im so disappointed. Golf needs good places like this track to stay in business! One more bad experience and I will not visit again. Thank you.
Great Deal!
Paid $30 total for me and a buddy (cart included) to play at Silo Run. The greens are in great shape. It is a challenging course with lots of variety. Will be back.
Good golf day
Front9 thumbs up I was great back9 I wasn't as good all #all course was great ! One thing the holes on the Greens needs moving more often other than that good
Great for the money
but i could only play 9 because their were soooo many people out there.
not the courses fault.
loved the challenging par 3's
good day playing
The course is wide-open, not technically challenging perfect for my 14 year old to get on the course and learn. Only thing missing would be maps/layouts on the card or in the cart as there were a few blind holes.
Raining when we arrived and the staff was very accommodating. We will be back.
Good value
Played mid week and as a result we had no issue with pace of play. The greens roll well and are in good condition. Nice layout and will definitely play again.
great great course
i love the course the green are great great staff course is laid out great.
Silo Run has a great layout. 18 different looks at a great price. One of my favorite golf courses anywhere.
