Warm day, good conditions, friendly staff, excellent value
Indian Valley was in good condition yesterday.
Tees and fairways were excellent. Greens were a little spotty, marked up, bouncy, and slow. The greens were in better condition the last time I played Indian Valley.
Had a nice playing partner. Director of Golf Jonathan checked me in . He is very helpful, friendly, and professional.
I would play Indian Valley again and highly recommend the course.
Doglegs and par 3s
Enjoyed playing. Great doglegs requiring you to get to corners and challenging par 3s. Folks at course friendly and professional.
Greens Need Love
greens were beat up with divots. Good municipal course.
Greens where good
Good greens this time out well watered. Wish some people would fix divots but you see this everywhere.
Nice Course
A little bit of a tough course. Greens for the most part were in nice shape. A few needed some care, with some bare spots on them. But overall, not a bad course at all.
Greens
They are working hard on the greens ,they where soft and in great condition. The workers would come by and water the greens every 20 minutes. Best they have looked Since they replaced them years ago
Old traditional course a lot of fun to play. Good condition and inexpensive to play. Great value.
Poor Customer Service
I usually enjoy playing this course, however on this occasion I never even got to tee the ball up. I reserved an 8:00 am tee time hopping to beat the crowds and as I always play alone I could play at a faster pace and be done before 12:00. When I arrived at the course I was told that I would be required to play in a group even though I had booked a single tee time. When I asked why, the only explanation I received was because they were busy. I told the man behind the counter I usually played alone and would be requesting a refund. He simply stated that was fine and moved on to the next customer.
After requesting a refund through golfnow I received a phone call from the same gentleman around lunch time of that day. He seemed very cordial and apologetic in his voicemail and asked me to return his call so that we could rectify the situation. However, when I returned his call he seemed to not know who I was and when I did explain who I was, he proceeded to ask if I had figured everything out. He simply stated that I was put with someone because there was a lack of carts and I made to feel as if it was my fault that I did not get to play. There was no attempt to rectify the situation and the gentleman on the phone seemed hurried and rushed to handle my complaint as if I were a burden and
that he had only called initially out of necessity to appease either a higher up or the booking site. Sadly I will not be returning to this course in the future.
Great value
Course in good shape. Greens are great except no one seems to fix ball marks. Very crowded and pace of play was slow, something I've never had a problem with at this course, but we still finished in about 4:15. Hard to find a better value than Indian Valley.
Mudpit / Poor Layout
Very poor layout, stupid dog legs hole after hole. Not well maintained. Low tee boxes that were due to being low a swamp. Elevate the tee box and this won't happen. Extremely tight course, if you cut the trees back it would be more playable. Not a fan and will not return.
Great conditions, friendly staff, and good value.
Indian Valley, was in great condition, providing excellent value, combined with a friendly staff, led by manager Jonathan.
Pace of play, with another single player joining me, was terrific, 3 1/2 hours for 18 holes.
The course consistently is fair, challenging, and scenic.
This has become one of my favorite public tracks to play.
I highly recommend Indian valley.
Great Course and great price
The course is in good shape, staff was friendly, it wasn't too busy, and the weather was perfect. You can't ask for much more.
Very nice course layout.
I thoroughly enjoy Indian Valley. Nicely groomed golf course. Been playing Indian Valley since 2015. Always enjoy my round of golf.
Dog legs everywhere
This would have to be a course you play multiple times to know where to land the ball. So many dog legs, so that made some tee shots really demanding. If you like dog legs, this is your place. Greens were really slow, but once again that is something that you would have to get used to.
Overall it's a nice golf experience for the money.
Excellent layout, scenery, staff, great value
Indian Valley never disappoints.
The course layout, scenery, staff (led by Fred Ireland), and value combine to make Indian Valley a great golf experience.
They have done a terrific job during the Corona Virus outbreak to ensure that the golfer's safety and health are a priority.
I have made this course a "must play", even though it is 40 minutes from Greensboro.
Check it out for yourself. You will be glad you did!
Excellent course, staff, facilities, condition, value, and scenery
Indian Valley is a top notch public course facility located in Burlington.
The staff, led by General Manager Fred Ireland, is helpful, friendly, and professional.
Indian Valley did an excellent job with safety measures during the Corona Virus outbreak.
PVC foam in the cup was a good move. Plus, this creates a good pace of play, not having to putt out.
The course is very scenic, especially for this avid outdoor photographer. #10 along the Haw River stands out. Any hole on this layout has its own signature.
My wife enjoyed riding with me on the first nine.
Fred is an asset to Indian Valley. He is the reason I will make this a regular course.
One "challenge" with a fellow golfer was handled discreetly and professionally by Fred.
Put Indian Valley on your top public golf facilities in North Carolina!
Thank you..
