Great Layout, Beat up greens
I really enjoyed the course. The layout was nice and challenging. Hard to hit elevated greens surrounded by bunkers. The only problem was that the greens were really beat up. Tons of un-repaired ball marks. The greens were soft enough that the ball marks were very large and deep. Also some sandy areas without grass. I would still recommend the course because of the layout and a challenging shots.
Greens rough
Several of the greens were “thin”. Lots of unrepaired
ball marks. Like the blue/white hybrid. Uncertain why the #2 handicap hole was played from the blue tees.

Course has a good layout but the greens are rough
The course has a great layout and is challenging. However, at this time of the year the greens were not in good shape. Our group adopted rules that accounted for the conditions but it was still pretty rough.

Greens
The greens were in unusually bad shape. Not sure if disease caused the issue but it is not normal for this course.

Poor greens
Green conditions were poor. Also, for large sand traps, more than one rake would speed up play.

Really Disappointed
I love this course. However, something has happened to the greens which were atrocious. They are so bad there should be a warning before you book your round.
It also felt like a slow play day. We did finish in under 4.5 hours. However, we literally were waiting for almost every shot.

Overall good
The greens were a bit of a mess, not sure if they had just aerated or what the issue was, but overall not in the best shape. Everything up to the greens was very good, however.

Stop playing this course
Like everyone else has said, the greens are in absolutely embarrassing shape. I've played here 4 times over the last 2 years and it has only gotten worse. To think they charge $72 on weekends LMFAO

Needs Work
I had higher hopes for this course. I had never played it before so wanted to try something new. Overall, I'd give this course a C-. Driving range was nice, putting green had some dead spots as did basically all greens on this course.
Fairways and bunkers were in nice shape but tee boxes needed some love.
Had it not been for the condition of the greens, I would've given this course higher score. Also, the carts were nice but no USB connection which other courses of similar price point have. Maybe I'm spoiled but I want to keep my phone charged while I stream Sirius XM music.
Until I hear that the greens are back in shape, I'll probably pass on this course going forward.

Awful - don’t waste your money
Olde Sycamore is by far the worst golf course I’ve ever played in my 50 years of playing golf.
Many of the greens have more areas of dried cracked mud than grass. I played there 3 months ago and it is hard to believe how bad it was. I understand that bent greens are difficult to maintain in the heat but there is absolutely no excuse for these terrible conditions.
On top of these terrible greens charging $70 plus the surly employees absolutely guarantees I will never be back.

It was my first time golfing here. With the exception of a few greens, the course was in good condition. I would definitely recommend this course fir its serenity, layout and overall value for the green fees..
