Lakeshore Golf Course

Lakeshore is a convenient challenging layout. The staff is exceptional from Burke, Joe, Will inside to the hard working golf course maintenance staff.
This is a gem of a place to play.

Course is decent, good value, played 18 in about 3hrs. Fairways were like 1st cut of rough on other courses and greens were slow and shaggy. Some holes challenged you, others were pitch and putt.

The staff was very friendly and the pace was great. Everything else was awful. The greens were recently aerated, but that's not the issue. The tee boxes, fairways, and rough were a joke. huge patches of missing grass all over the course. Will not play again.

This course Needs a drink cart.

Great day of golf, made 3!newbfriends. The course was fun . I scored an 87 which for me is my best score.

The course conditions were challenging but a good price for testing your stroke

Fun practice driving range into a lake. Though there is not a practice green, there is a practice chipping green. The course's greens were in good condition. There was enough sand and water hazards to keep you thinking. Really enjoyed playing the back 9 holes. I appreciated them offering me a senior discount even on weekend play!

A very nice, quick round for a Saturday

I played this course in late april, so maybe the Bermuda fairways still needed time to finish coming in. But, at the same time, the grass that was in the fairways needed mowing. The greens looked nicer on the back 9 than the front side but they were all very slow; as was the pace of play.
Nothing here was very challenging or impressive except the staff. The Marshall was very nice and tried to help me skip past some slower players and return to finish out the holes I skipped. While I declined, the offer was generous.
I booked through an online service and even the discounted rate was more than the course was worth. For the beginner or weekend hacker, the course would have been fine. For the more skilled player, I would suggest paying the extra $$$ and play one of the other nicer courses in the area.

Golf Course offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. Well-groomed fairways and greens keeps Golf Course difficult yet friendly. Course is a terrific choice for your regular rounds of golf or a new destination for you and friends when visiting .

very distracting course layout as well as downed trees, no grass, noisy play, no dress code, awful cart paths, horrible tee boxes ... for the amount of money - go somewhere else

Was impressed with this course especially for the price we paid. Greens and fairways were in good shape. Not an entirely long course but has its challenges.

First off, thank you Joe and Will. They are great guys and you don't have to be a wannabe tour pro before they work with you. Great guys!

I played the back nine. It's peaceful and it was awesome! Just enough water hazards and sand traps to make it interesting at my experience level. Their driving range allows you to hit floating golf balls into the lake. My teenage son and daughter actually like to hang out with there..

Nice enjoyable round need to think about club selection not everything is reach for your driver

First off I have to say that I hated playing this course. I all but killed myself and my friend while trying to navigate their horrible cart paths. The cart path's asphalt has completely broken apart and is terrible to drive on.

There is no dress code for this course so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised when the 2 people playing behind us in jeans and a t-shirt were constantly talking and yelling in my back-swing while I was trying to tee off.

The amount of $$ they charge to play 18 holes with a cart is ridiculous. Looking at about $45 -$50 at peak times which is outrageous for what you experience there.

With the number of better golf courses in the RDU area I can say will never go back!

Course was not bad. Pace of play was very slow. OK public course. People were nice.

This course is close to where I live. I've golfed here 6 times over the years and has been consistently a fun place to golf. Easy fairways to hit and not a lot of challenging hazards it's a great golf course for an amature such as myself.

It has very challenging holes for armatures and beginners alike, the water hazards is dangerous for beginners if your not an strong hitter off tee/fairways. The staff was very nice and not pushy for people who plays slow and takes time like me with my health issues. I love to play here when possible because its only 15 minutes from house and its reasonable rates.

Good course, great course for the amount of money I paid. Course was in great shape but could use more/better amenities. Don't bother showing up early to putt, the practice green was a wreck (don't worry greens on course were fine though). Also only saw two water containers on whole course. Could use a few more. Finally, and this is a small pet peeve, but the first fairway was littered with range balls, made finding your first shot difficult.
