Ever been to a crazy busy Mini Golf Course? This is the golf course version.
So, I will start by saying that I am an average golfer and have been having some recent struggles with consistency. I saw the course and thought it would be a great way to work on my short game, ball striking, and overall ironwork.
When I tell you that I could have brought a 7 Iron, 62-degree wedge, and a putter, and that would have been perfect for this course.
Arrival:
My wife (a brand new golfer) and I (17-handicap) decided to play golf here. Upon arrival, we noticed that the clubhouse was a double-wide trailer, and there seemed to be construction cones and debris littering the left side of the building.
We walked inside, and there were a couple of coolers for drinks, some minor golf equipment, and a small "lounge area" consisting of a TV, loud patrons, and a staff that was overall disinterested in the fact that I was standing there attempting to check in.
We got through that and noted that you had to walk almost 100 yards to the cart area to get your cart. While inconvenient, it is whatever. The cart valet could not have been friendlier.
Amenities:
The range was extremely nice but so crowded that even after waiting for a bay to open up, we had nowhere to warm up. We attempted to use the training area on the left side because there were no classes or lessons, but we were quickly told that this wasn't allowed.
The good thing is that they have multiple chipping practice areas with enough room, so we worked on chipping and then proceeded to the putting green, which was also really nice.
Tee Time:
We were approached again by the friendly cart valet, who was also acting as the starter. He told us we could go early. We got on the cart to the first tee box while the previous group finished on the green below us.
We wrapped up the hole and moved on like normal, but it wasn't until hole 3 that we realized our major mistake in playing this course. There was a five-person group back up at the third hole that was holding everything up. There was absolutely nobody in front of them. They let everybody go early and caused a major back-up for the remainder of the round.
Manners were not even considered in this course. As we finally got to the third tee box for our shot, before even leaving the cart, we were nearly killed by a stray tee shot from the leading group. The holes were playing 180 degrees of each other, and due to the lack of space between the holes, the ball came through the open portion of our windshield, right between our two heads, and landed in the basket behind the seats. Nobody called "Fore," shouted, or anything. The person was so courteous to re-tee and play another ball that they had no hope of ever making the green or even the zip code.
This started a trend with several groups, apparently because we dodged stray shots all day, so much so that one struck my leg as I was about to put on hole 12.
I understand the level of course we were playing, but having staff roaming and ensuring that there aren't any backups is paramount.
THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE ENTIRE COURSE WAS THE CART GIRL, WHO WAS ALWAYS FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL, AND RESPECTFUL.
Course Conditions:
The greens were beautiful but super slow and grabby at the breaks. It caused a lot of shots to come up short.
There was no such thing as a fairway.
The par 4s are the unwanted step-children of this course, with utter disregard for condition or playability.
It was obvious, though, that they wanted the public perception of the course to be grand because any hole that bordered the highway could have been featured on any full course that I've played with amazing lines, breaks in the greens, and consistency. Beautiful. They should take those 4 holes and copy those methods to the other 14.
Sand Traps were concrete and absolute turds.
Overall, the recommendation is that this course wasn't worth the money. If they can somehow figure out how to properly space groupings, have people out there to maintain even the most basic etiquette, and fix the problems with the areas that are not tee boxes or greens, they might be worth another look.
Otherwise, I won't be back.
Pretty course with great greens
We are on a six month road trip from Canada. We tend to look for bargain tee times. This course had the best greens of anyplace we have played so far. We have been in Atlanta for a week and will be playing it a third time tomorrow.
Great short course, very forgiving.
Great course all around, greens are incredible! A ton of par 3 holes with forgiving layouts, tough to hit an unusable shot.
Wow! We are so happy you enjoyed your round, NhlybwF9DNefPr8jDsOG! We look forward to seeing you again soon at Legacy Golf Links.
On the cusp
There are a few things that are on the cusp of being a fantastic executive course in ATL suburbs. 1. The range is really good. 2. I hear there is an actual clubhouse coming. 3. Hard to judge the course in the winter, but a few holes are thin (ie. The par fours). Overall, this is a really good course to practice the short game.

Tighten up your short game,
Great course where you can tighten up the "finesse" part of your game.
Shoot'em straight this Spring!

First predominately par3 course. Loved it
Highly recommended, especially if you short on time
Nice
I was pleasantly surprised on how well the course was, even for late November. The greens were immaculate, well kept and extremely fast. For that alone, I will return what many more times! The staff was super courteous and helpful. The customer service was excellent!
Greens were Great!

Great opportunity to wok on short game
Good value and great opportunity to work on short game. As an executive course there are mostly par 3s playing to par 58. It was not crowded for 11a.m. tee time on a slightly cool but mostly sunny day. The greens were consistently good. The fairways and tees were thin in spots where shaded, but that only mattered on a few holes. I rented a cart and played alone so I had plenty of time to play multiple balls occasionally. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The grounds keepers stopped and shut off their engines whenever I was about to play a shot, which in my case just only added to my anxiety as I knew they were now watching me. I'll be back again.
