Aspen
Aspen, Colorado

About AspenBecause there’s a temperature climate, you can experience all four seasons throughout the year. If you consider yourself a foodie or a cook, take part in the local tradition of attending the Aspen Farmer’s Market. The market is open from June to mid-October, and is open every Saturday morning. There’s a variety of fruits, vegetables, meats, live music and much more.
Take a walk through the Rio Grande Trail, which is one of the easiest and most popular hiking trails. Roughly eight and a half miles, the trail spans from the Roaring Fork River, all the way down to the Rio Grande Railroad bed. If hiking isn’t your forte, do some white water rafting to take in the views. There’s several white-water rafting opportunities over on the Roaring Fork River.
Over at Aspen Golf Club, there’s four sets of tees, but you’ll still have to find your way around the water, as it comes into play on 14 of 18 holes. The course is only a measly two miles from downtown Aspen, so once you get off the course, going downtown for a drink or two is just a short drive away.
Not only is the Snowmass Golf Club a great place to golf, but it’s also home to 11 outdoor tennis courts, 2 indoor tennis courts, an outdoor pool and a 19,000 square-foot athletic club. The course is an open design and has five sets of tees. There’s also a restaurant, bar, and pro shop. This is the definition of a one stop shop for a golf course.
