17 years after opening, Dye Course restored magnificently at PGA Golf Club in South Florida

PORT SAINT LUCIE, Fla. -- The third golf course built at PGA Golf Club, the Dye Course, recently underwent a renovation and restoration under the watchful eye of architect Pete Dye.

Often cited as the best of the four courses at PGA Golf Club at PGA Village, the course was restored to its original greens dimensions and got new grasses for the fairways and greens as well as pure white sand for its restored bunkers.

The greens have been re-grassed with Tifeagle, while TifGrand was chosen for the collars, and the fairways were done in Celebration Bermuda, a variety that provides drought resistance and shade tolerance as well as a striking blue-green hue for great color contrasts. Some of the bunker faces have also been resodded with Empire Zoysia, a denser grass requiring less mowing.
