2015 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am: A party on California's Monterey Peninsula

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- For many golf fans stuck in snowy situations, the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am helps them stay sane in the dead of winter. The stunning TV images of California's Monterey Peninsula provide a reminder that warmer days lay ahead.

Old-timers lament that the "Crosby Clambake" isn't what it used to be, and that's somewhat true. Golf's biggest stars -- Tiger and Phil -- and the A-list celebrities who play golf don't come very often anymore. That's okay. The real star is Pebble Beach Golf Links , and its supporting cast, the Shore at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club and Spyglass Hill Golf Course .

Tournament week is packed with events for fans. The 2015 tournament started on Tuesday with the Chevron Shootout between four members of the World Champion San Francisco Giants and four legends from the San Francisco 49ers. Autograph seekers jammed the putting green looking for attention from Jerry Rice, Steve Young and Giants catcher Buster Posey. The 3M Celebrity Challenge on Wednesday featured two six-person teams captained by Bill Murray and Clint Eastwood. When the real golf started, Brandt Snedeker took advantage of benign, sunny conditions to break his own tournament scoring record, finishing at 22-under-par to win by three shots over Nick Watney.

If you can't afford to play Pebble Beach, walking it during the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is the next best thing.
