Located in East Lothian, Craigielaw Golf Club is one of Scotland's newer links courses, opened in 2001. It's next door to historic Kilspindie Golf Club, which sits right on the sea. Craigielaw plays farther inland but is still links style, and the Firth of Forth is always in view.
The golf course was designed by Donald Steele. It is especially penal around the many crowned greens, surrounded by steep pot bunkers and collection areas. It's a championship test and hosted the 2006 Scottish Amateur Strokeplay Championship and 2007 British Senior Open qualifier. The course plays 6,601 yards from the championship tees, which are open daily.
