Fan-tastic: TPC Scottsdale's Stadium Course plays host to the Waste Management Phoenix Open

The scenic location of TPC Scottsdale, nestled against a rugged Sonoran Desert landscape with the McDowell Mountains as a backdrop, is just one of the reasons the club is home to the largest spectator golf event in the world.

The renowned Stadium Course is host of the PGA Tour's fan-favorite Waste Management Phoenix Open, and there are 27 tour pros who call the course home.

Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf teamed up to design the course. They created a balanced layout that is known for its playability, but it wouldn't be a PGA Tour course if it wasn't also challenging. There are more than 70 deep bunkers strategically placed in the fairways and neighboring the large, undulating greens. Water comes into play on six holes, half of which are on the closing stretch that begins with the most famous hole, the 16th. This par 3 offers one of the most dramatic settings on the PGA Tour. There are opportunities for an eagle or a birdie on the final holes, but bogeys and doubles are just as likely if you're not careful.

The newer Champions Course at TPC Scottsdale almost rivals its sister course in both beauty and playability.
