Great golf courses and resorts make Lake Geneva a choice getaway for Chicago and Milwaukee residents

Lake Geneva, a small resort town in southern Wisconsin, serves an escape from city life for Chicago and Milwaukee residents. Lake Geneva, Lake Como and Lake Delavan provide scenery and recreation, from boating and fishing to golf.

The Geneva Resort & Spa, one of five AAA Diamond destinations in Wisconsin, is home to The Brute and The Highlands Courses.

The 54-hole Geneva National Golf Club boasts courses by Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino and Gary Player. The massive clubhouse, which serves all three four-star courses, overlooks Lake Como.

Hawk's View Golf Club offers two stunning downhill par 3s on its Como Crossings Course and 18 strong holes on its executive Barn Hollow Course.

Abbey Springs in Fontana might be the toughest track in the region with narrow up-and-down fairways.

Lake Lawn Resort, home to a 6,200-yard course by Dick Nugent, has rebounded from a foreclosure to stay a fixture on the shores of Lake Delavan.
