Indian Wells Golf Club near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Indian Wells Golf Club is located right off Highway 17 in Surfside Beach, S.C. about five miles south of Myrtle Beach. It's a Gene Hamm design from 1984 that, while short for today's standards at 6,624 yards from the championship tees, guards itself with plenty of trickery, and the par 3s are all pretty long from the tips, with two over 190 yards.

Trees are well-placed and often a force to be reckoned with, especially on the golf course's four par-5 holes. The par-4 18th requires deft tee shot placement and an approach shot that must maneuver past a tall Carolina pine tree. Water is also in play on 14 holes. It can be partially blind from the tee box, so consult the course GPS in your golf cart.
