Links at Crowbush Cove among the most demanding golf courses on Prince Edward Island in Canada

MORELL, Prince Edward Island, Canada -- One of Canada's top-rated golf courses, the Links at Crowbush Cove is located on Prince Edward Island's exposed north coast. The course opened in 1994 and was designed by Canadian architect Thomas McBroom.

The golf course is one of four that are owned and operated by the province, and the argument could be made that Crowbush is the most demanding of all of Prince Edward Island golf courses. From the championship tees, Crowbush plays over 6,900 yards and comes with several long water carries, most notably the par-5 11th hole, which demands a long shot over a pond between the fairway and green. Also, the course's location makes it subject to some of the island's higher winds, so scoring here on a windy day is even tougher.

The routing of the golf course is especially good. The course winds by the clubhouse at multiple points during the round so you're never too far away. The course also features a mix of forest and wide open links holes on both sides, so the round has a pleasant, ever-changing flow to it.

Also on site at Crowbush is the Rodd Brudenell Crowbush Golf Resort. Within walking distance of the clubhouse, stay-and-play packages are available.
