Loving The Ledges Golf Club in St. George, Utah

ST. GEORGE, Utah -- Opened in 2006, The Ledges Golf Club in St. George offers championship golf with stunning views of the surrounding sandstone mountains, reminiscent of the area's nearby national and state parks.

And though it has just three sets of tees, this Matt Dye design is playable for golfers of every level. Stretching to nearly 7,200 yards from the tips, players can play a combination of tees to fit their games. Fairways are generous, but you don't want to stray into the thick ryegrass rough, which can make it difficult to even find your ball.

Conditions here are top-notch, and even more impressive, of course, are the views. There are parts of the course that make you feel like you're in nearby Zion National Park.

The facilities at The Ledges Golf Club are also impressive. They include the highly lauded Fish Rock Grille, a beautiful golf shop, luxurious bathroom facilities, the 4,000 square-foot Ledges Golf Academy, excellent practice stations, including a grass range, two putting greens and chipping green. In the summer, misters on the back patio make dining outside comfortable.
