SunRidge Canyon Golf Club just northeast of Scottsdale, Arizona is demanding and picturesque

FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. -- SunRidge Canyon Golf Club isn't particularly long, but it can be demanding.

At 6,823 yards, this Keith Foster-designed par-71 golf course winds its away around rugged ridges and canyons through the desert terrain. The course gradually descends on the way out before doubling back to climb up the slope on the way in.

It's also a natural layout. Foster didn't move much dirt to build SunRidge Canyon, which demands accuracy off the tee and the approach shots. There are risk-reward opportunities with a short par 4 and some reachable par 5s, but discretion is warranted to shoot a good score.
