The AT&T Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio

TPC San Antonio's AT&T Oaks Course was designed by Greg Norman and player consultant Sergio Garcia. It plays more than 7,400 yards from the championship tees, but there are five other sets playing as close as less than 5,000 yards.

The golf course features narrow fairways and difficult green complexes, not to mention loads of large bunkers. The Oaks plays on gently rolling land, and there is less than 100 feet of difference between the high and low point of the golf course. That's a stark difference to TPC San Antonio's AT&T Canyons course, which features much more severe terrain.

The Oaks was also designed differently than many of the TPC courses such as TPC at Sawgrass and TPC Scottsdale. Spectator mounding was not built in here, instead opting for a more natural look.

The closing stretch is genuine TPC, though, with a drivable par-4 17th hole and a par-5 18th hole that offers tremendous risk-reward opportunity. Shaping out as the signature hole thus far is the par-3 16th, which features a Riviera-esque bunker in the middle of the green and the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country resort serving as the backdrop.

Located about 20 miles north of downtown, both TPC San Antonio golf courses are private, but guests of the JW Marriott have playing privileges here.
