The Fairmont Southampton is a golf-and-beach resort paradise in Bermuda

BERMUDA -- Even though there's no regulation-length golf course on property, the Fairmont Southampton resort is a perfect golfer's getaway.

The spacious resort features comfortable rooms and all sorts of resort amenities to enjoy off the course. The pink hotel sits on a hillside overlooking the south shore of the island. This setting proved to be the perfect spot for a scenic, challenging 18-hole, par-3 course. The 2,762-yard Fairmont Southampton Golf Course can be enjoyed by beginners and juniors and still challenge better players thanks to the shifting ocean breezes.

Inside the clubhouse is Bacci, an Italian restaurant that is one of many great restaurants at the resort. The Waterlot Inn, a steakhouse just off property behind the hotel, has been serving meals for more than 340 years.

Sun-lovers can worship at the Fairmont's private beach club or right next door at Horseshoe Bay, one of the most stunning pink-sand beaches on the island. Those looking for more golf can take short taxi rides to Riddles Bay Golf & Country Club, the island's oldest course, or better yet, the Port Royal Golf Course, the gorgeous host of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf.
