The Sky and Shadow courses at Lost Canyons Golf Club in Simi Valley, California

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. -- Lost Canyon Golf Club is a 36-hole, daily-fee facility located near downtown Los Angeles, off Highway 118. Both courses were designed by architect Pete Dye with player assistance from PGA Tour pro Fred Couples.

Ventura County's only 36-hole facility, each course winds through the Santa Susana mountains and is entirely void of housing surrounding any holes. Each course comes with five sets of tees and the championship black set comes with some of the area's highest slope/ratings. But each course's forward sets plays under 5,000 yards to suit higher handicaps.

The Sky Course at Lost Canyons is laid out on the north side of the property and is the longer of the two courses, playing 7,285 yards. The finishing stretch is particularly memorable, featuring a par-3 17th set up aginast the ridge of a canyon.

The Shadow Course at Lost Canyons is shorter at just over 7,000 yards and is a more open, links-style play. It's routing is especially traditional with an outward and inward nine.

The facility comes with tour-ready practice facilities including a large, grass driving range with nine elevated greens, plus a short-game area with three bunkers. The clubhouse features men's and women's locker rooms, plus a restaurant with terrace views overlooking the courses and valley.
