Tidewater Golf Club & Plantation in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Tidewater Golf Club and Plantation in North Myrtle Beach is one of the Grand Strand's prettiest golf courses. It features a collection of holes along the Intracoastal Waterway - as well as several other marsh holes.

Along with its beauty, it's also one of the most difficult golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area . It's only 7,078 yards from the back tees but has a slope rating of 74.8/144. The difficulty here comes largely in the firm, undulating greens that are all heavily guarded. Certain pin positions can make for a very difficult putting surface.

Tidewater does keep it easy in one respect: There is no out-of-bounds on the golf course, even on holes with housing along its perimeter. Red stakes are the law of the land here. The course is women-friendly in that there is a set of tees at both 5,097 yards and 4,615 yards from which to chose.
