Trump International Golf Links Scotland reportedly secures three Scottish Opens

BALMEDIE, Aberdeenshire, Scotland -- Trump International Golf Links Scotland - the brawny 7,400-yard links designed by Dr. Martin Hawtree, which opened in 2012 - is touted as the "World's Greatest Golf Course" on its Web site. Hyperbole or not, the dunes along the North Sea are glorious, some of the highest in the world.

Hawtree used the most mountainous of them all for spectacular elevated tee boxes at no. 14, a demanding par 4, and no. 18, a stunning par 5 littered with 18 pot bunkers. There are plenty of other signature holes like the beautiful par-3 third along the beach and the 281-yard drivable seventh, featuring the layout's most severe green complex.
Although the outspoken billionaire has made a few enemies throughout the development process, The Donald himself flew in June 10, 2015, to christen a new clubhouse.
