Turf Valley: 36 holes of top-flight golf in the greater Baltimore-Washington area
ELLICOTT CITY, Md. -- Turf Valley offers some of the best golf in the greater Baltimore-Washington area. There are two 18-hole golf courses at the resort, the Original and the Hialeah.
Though each has a distinct layout these Ed Ault designs each take advantage of the rolling hills of the idyllic landscape.
The Original Course plays through the heart of Turf Valley. It has a more traditional layout of the two and provides a challenging, but still player-friendly round. There are strategically placed bunkers and mature trees that come into play throughout, but the course is not overly punishing. Golfers of all skill levels will find the Original Course playable.
Turf Valley's Hialeah Course is shorter but also a slightly tougher challenge. The layout winds and twists through mature woods and over hills. With tree-lined fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and numerous creeks that come into play, Hialeah is considered a true shot-maker's course. The most challenging as well as some of the most scenic holes include the 13th, 15th, and 17th.
In addition to the two courses, Turf Valley has plenty of other activities available including tennis and volleyball courts, indoor and outdoor pools, a 24-hour fitness center, and a luxury spa.
